Organization Overview
Results for America (RFA) helps government leaders find, fund, and implement solutions that work to accelerate upward economic mobility and improve lives. Team Overview
The Federal Team focuses on the following key activities:
- Grow the What Works Caucus — The team targets key policymakers, builds champions, and speeds implementation through the What Works Caucus and Invest in What Works Coalition, with a goal of recruiting 4 new members in 2026.
- Shift Dollars Through Policy & Legislation — The Federal Team advocates to embed evidence-based requirements into federal funding streams across workforce, education, human services, public safety, and transportation — through legislation such as the Evidence-Based Grantmaking Act and appropriations such as the Advanced Workforce Development Innovation Demonstration Project.
- Deliver Shifting Dollars Technical Assistance — The team provides 1:Many and 1:1 Shifting Dollars TA to help federal policymakers improve legislation and funding proposals to replicate solutions that work.
- Build Data and Evidence Capacity & Implementation Partnerships — The team develops analysis, tools, and policy guidance to improve federal NOFOs and embed evidence requirements in grants and budgets, while partnering with What Works Cities and Place-Based Partnerships to link certification and federal incentives to economic mobility outcomes.
- Connect Federal Resources to Local Outcomes — The team maps federal funding to evidence-based solutions via the Grant Opportunity Dashboard and Newsletters, keeps Place-Based Partners informed through the Federal Policy Updates Newsletter, and supports State and Local Sprints with fund maps to ensure federal funds advance outcomes effectively.
