Credit Risk Analyst 

REV Capital is seeking a Credit Risk Analyst to play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial stability and growth of our organization through managing complex accounts and conducting thorough risk assessments while ensuring compliance. The Credit Risk Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to offer tailored underwriting solutions that meet our clients’ needs while adhering to regulatory standards

 Responsibilities: 

       Operational duties:

  • Underwrites and reviews new client applications to establish their acceptability as investments for the Company; Negotiates the terms and conditions with the client while ensuring adherence to REV Capital policies and guidelines.
  • Conducts in-depth assessments of prospective clients' creditworthiness and financial stability.
  • Ensures all underwriting activities comply with PPSA and UCC regulations.
  • Evaluates and analyzes financial statements, credit reports, and other pertinent information to assess the risk of complex accounts.
  • Evaluates portfolios nearing maturity to determine their continued suitability as investments for the company. Prepares and submits renewal applications for approval; Negotiates repayment or revised terms and conditions for portfolios deemed unacceptable.
  • Actively engages in client/sales meetings, comes prepared with well researched questions and communicates effectively with the client.

       Team duties:

  • Underwrites new and renewal business submissions ensuring proper risk selection, endorsements and pricing while adhering to underwriting authority.
  • Independently establishes and maintains effective relationships with sales channels supporting new business opportunities.
  • Generates detailed reports on underwriting activities, risk assessments, and portfolio performance for senior management.
  • Collaborates with the Sales team to understand client needs and offer tailored underwriting solutions.
  • Works closely with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure all processes adhere to regulatory standards.
  • Supports operations and onboarding to ensure compliance from approval to funding.
  • Assists in the development of long and short-term underwriting strategic plans and executes on those objectives.
  • Performs file audits of individual risks for compliance with company guidelines and conditions.
  • Stays informed and up to date on any changes, trends, news, and legal developments.
  • Assist with ad hoc requests as needed.

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of credit and underwriting experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in PPSA and UCC.
  • B2B background with experience in generating credit risk reports through the utilization of credit agencies, such as D&B and Equifax.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, credit analysis techniques, and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Proficiency in using risk management software, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and provide actionable insights.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of making sound credit decisions and managing risk in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate across departments and with various individuals.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, customer-oriented, dynamic environment, and deal with multiple and often changing priorities.
  • Nice to have: Fraud analysis experience or factoring knowledge.
  • Nice to have: managed teams
