Overview: The Security/Transportation Lead plays a critical role in supporting the Security Department Manager to ensure that all security policies and protocols are consistently upheld. Maintaining a secure facility is essential not only for safety but also for regulatory compliance. The Security Lead must approach daily decision-making with impartiality and a commitment to evidence-based actions. Reporting directly to the Security and Transportation Manager, this position involves regular meetings with the broader management team to foster clear and effective communication across departments.

Job Type: Full-Time Onsite in Delavan, IL (1 Revolution Way, Delavan, IL 61734) 

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the Video Surveillance System to identify any suspicious, illegal, or non-compliant activities, as well as to support various operational functions as required.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of Visitor Logs and Employee Logs, both written and electronic, by conducting regular reviews and verifications.
  • Collaborate closely with law enforcement and emergency personnel during emergencies to ensure a swift and effective response.
  • Monitor and report any violations of safety and security procedures across the facility to ensure compliance and maintain a secure environment.
  • Ensure that interior and exterior patrols are conducted consistently throughout the week to maintain security and identify potential issues.
  • Assist in ensuring that all deliveries to dispensaries are completed efficiently, securely, and in compliance with safety protocols.
  • Effectively de-escalate hostile situations to promote resolution and contribute to maintaining a positive and healthy work environment.
  • Maintain the video surveillance system by ensuring all cameras are fully operational and recordings are securely stored for a minimum of 180 days, in compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborate with the department manager to conduct interviews for prospective department personnel, ensuring a thorough and effective hiring process.
  • Conduct Emergency Response Training for all facility staff, ensuring they are well-prepared to respond effectively to various emergency situations.
  • Support new and current staff members in obtaining or renewing their Agent IDs, including completing fingerprinting and navigating the state licensing portal to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide support to HR and department managers during employee terminations, ensuring the process is handled professionally and safely in accordance with company policies.
  • Collaborate with the Revolution inspection team and state officials during routine state inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and facilitate a smooth inspection process.
  • Assist in maintaining Revolution's fire suppression and burglar alarm systems, ensuring they are regularly serviced and conducting yearly inspections to comply with safety regulations.
  • Oversee the escorting of contractors to the appropriate departments, ensuring all actions are in compliance with state regulations and company protocols.
  • Track and ensure the timely completion of transportation vehicle maintenance and repairs to maintain fleet readiness and compliance with safety standards.
  • Work closely with the Transportation Delivery Coordinator to complete routing and scheduling for transportation personnel, ensuring efficient and timely deliveries.
  • Ability to create and edit access badges for all employees, facilitating seamless movement throughout the facility while maintaining security and access control.

 

Minimum Education:

  • High School diploma or GED required; some college education preferred.

Minimum Experience:

  • 4 years of experience in security and transportation.

Required or Preferred Skills, Abilities, Licensures, and Certifications:

  • Minimum age requirement of 21
  • Ability to successfully pass a comprehensive internal and external background check, including criminal history checks by the State Police and FBI
  • Ability to obtain a Cultivation Registration Identification Card from the Department of Agriculture (DOA)
  • Current Driver’s License with a good driving record
  • Ability to fluently read and write in English
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to fifty pounds
  • Positive attitude and the ability to follow directions effectively

Work Schedule:

  • Weekly Hours: 40+ hours per week.
  • Availability: Must be available to work all shifts, including some holidays and weekends.
  • After-Hours Support: Must be available to respond to after-hour calls and emergencies.
  • Demonstrate consistent, reliable attendance and punctuality to maintain daily operations and team effectiveness; able to work regular business hours and proactive in seeking coverage when necessary

Compensation/Benefits Insights:

Pay Range based on experience: ($24-28 Per Hour). Revolution's Full-Time Employees are eligible for benefit offerings for the following: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, FSA/HSA Options, PTO, 401k with company match, and employee Discount.
