Food Manufacturing Technician
Revolution is proud to produce premium, high-quality cannabis products across multiple categories. We are hiring a Food Manufacturing Technician to support our edibles production operation in Delavan. This role is responsible for assisting in the preparation, production, and packaging of cannabis-infused food products, such as gummies, chocolates, and syrups. The ideal candidate is dependable, quality-driven, detail-oriented, and excited to work in a regulated food-grade environment.
Essential Functions:
- Represent Revolution’s core values: Community, Accountability, Revolutionary, Excellence
- Demonstrate consistent, reliable attendance and punctuality to maintain daily operations and team effectiveness.
- Support the daily production of cannabis-infused edible products, ensuring adherence to SOPs and recipe standards
- Follow strict sanitation and food safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and cleaning procedures
- Operate, clean, and maintain food manufacturing equipment including mixers, depositor machines, ovens, and wrapping equipment
- Accurately weigh, portion, and document ingredients and batches according to production logs and compliance tracking systems (e.g., Cannabis365, Biotrack)
- Package finished products for retail sale, ensuring accurate labeling and quality presentation
- Monitor consistency, texture, and quality of edible products and report any variances
- Assist with inventory tracking of raw ingredients, packaging materials, and finished goods
- Support traceability, compliance, and quality control documentation, and assist with audits as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times
- Support cross-training and collaboration with other production teams
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Minimum Education/Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- 1+ years of experience in food manufacturing, baking, culinary production, or cannabis edibles preferred
- Must have completed, or be able to complete, Serve Safe certification
- Prior knowledge of cGMP, HACCP, or food safety protocols is a plus
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment
Required or Preferred Skills:
- Passion for food production and attention to quality
- Ability to follow recipes and detailed instructions with precision
- Strong record-keeping and basic math skills
- Adaptable to changes in process or priorities
- Comfortable with repetitive tasks and physical labor
- Positive team player and excellent communicator
- Ability to safely handle tools, food-grade equipment, and cleaning chemicals
- Familiarity with compliance tracking software or willingness to learn
Additional Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must possess valid state-issued ID
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a state-issued cannabis agent badge (background check required)
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
With or without reasonable accommodation, requires the physical and mental capacity to perform effectively all essential functions. In addition to other demands, the demands of the job include:
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 lbs to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance.
- Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks.
- Must be able to tolerate strong odors in the workplace.
- May be exposed to dust, kief, cleaning chemicals, and fumes. Although systems are in place to remove these byproducts, there is still exposure to some degree.
- Constantly exposed to moderate background noise due to environmental systems, equipment, and fans.
- Must be able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater).
- Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as; reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions.
- Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise).
- Frequent sitting and/or standing and walking, which may be required for long periods of time and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain.
Work Schedule:
- 40+ hours weekly with flexible hours depending on department needs.
- Must be available to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Compensation/Benefits Insights:
