The Regional Sales Manager in the Northwest supports the Portland, Seattle, and Salt Lake City, UT region. Candidates should be located in the Seattle/Portland area.

Our Regional Sales Manager (of outside sales) role is heavily focused on coaching and mentoring a team of Account Executives while growing regional revenue. Rewards Network’s Sales team’s focus is generating new clients within the restaurant and bar industries. You need to be able to achieve business results through coaching and motivating, not by “making the sale” for your team. This role requires 70% travel and the ability to be a road warrior and head coach on the field.

What you’ll bring to the table: (Responsibilities)  

  •  Lead a team of Account Executives and Account Managers in an assigned territory who will be responsible for developing long lasting partnerships with restaurateurs.
  •  Lead, coach, and mentor an outside sales force; this will include positive motivation and performance evaluation, coaching, providing regular feedback, communication of goals, leading regular team calls, etc.
     
  •  Recruit, retain and develop the necessary team within your region to ensure your team and region succeed in achieving results.
  •  Maintain clear communication lines and a sense of camaraderie with sales team from a distance
  •  Develop, implement, and attain regional sales objectives. Manage the team to meet/exceed new prospect sales and retention goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
       
  •  Assume P&L responsibility for assigned region and manage accountability for sales team’s performance.
  • Spend 80% of the time in the field with Account Executives and Account Managers, joining them on sales calls and coaching them through the sales process.     
  • Participate in higher level sales negotiations to ensure company policies and procedures are being followed as they relate to the sales process. Review and approve higher level deals as necessary.
     
  • Maintain an expert level of understanding of all products and services offered by Rewards Network.
  • Stay current with organizational changes, initiatives, and vision. Lead and motivate sales team around these.
  • Operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting where success is rewarded.

Do you have the right mix of ingredients: (Requirements)  

•    Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred. High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) and 6 years of related experience; or Associate’s degree and 4 years of related experience required.
•    5 years experience leading a Sales Team; experience cold-calling businesses that have a need for financial and marketing services products preferred.
•    Proven experience in growing new business in a hunter mentality; aggressive and self-motivated to drive business in a remote outside sales environment.
•    Structured methodology for acquiring new business, territory planning and pipeline management.
•    Strong financial acumen and ability to have a confident discussion related to fees, acceptance, and finances.
•    Excellent verbal, auditory and written communication skills, including the confidence to interact and make presentations with prospective clients in a way that projects Rewards Network’s differentiation in the marketplace.
•    Proficiency in MS Office/Outlook and Salesforce or other CRM system.
•    Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required.

  • Total estimated earnings for this position: $170,000- $200,000+ annualized; which includes a base salary of $110,000-$130,000 (based on location, experience, and other factors) and a monthly sales compensation plan with an annualized target of $60,000+.
