Join our dynamic team this summer as an HR Total Rewards Intern for a Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT). Our Human Resources team plays a vital role in supporting employees through competitive compensation, benefits, and programs that enhance the overall employee experience. This hands-on opportunity offers exposure to key Total Rewards initiatives - along with broader HR and real estate operations - providing invaluable experience for those passionate about launching a career in HR. Location: Hybrid - Costa Mesa, CA
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with HR team members to support day-to-day initiatives and contribute to a positive, service-oriented team culture enhancing our Total Rewards focus.
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of employee engagement initiatives and internal events.
- Assist with a companywide job description project, including reviewing, updating, organizing, and tracking role documentation for consistency and accuracy.
- Partner with stakeholders to develop job families and career ladders (levels/hierarchy) to support functional and cross-functional training, development, and engagement programs.
- Maintain and update employee records and HR databases, ensuring data accuracy, confidentiality, and timely follow-up.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.
- Strong interest in human resources management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous internship or experience in HR is a plus
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university at the time of application and throughout the duration of the internship

Dates:
- 10 week program beginning June 15, 2026 ending August 21, 2026 ; Weekly, Monday - Thursday
Compensation: The expected hourly rate for this role is $20. *The actual hourly rate and total compensation offered depend on a variety of factors, which include, without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location where the job will be performed. The final hourly rate and total compensation will be described in any offer letter.
