All Teams  |  Peoria, IL  |  Future Opportunities

Don’t see the right opening? Apply here and we’ll keep you in mind.

Sometimes the timing just isn’t right. Maybe we don’t have an opening today, or the roles posted aren’t quite what you’re looking for. That doesn’t mean there isn’t a future for you at Rheo. This application puts you in our system, and when an opening comes up that fits what you are looking for, we’ll reach out.

Rheo Engineering is a team of about 100 people that designs and builds custom, automated powder handling equipment used in the manufacture of life-saving drugs across the world. We design it, build it, and ship it — all under one roof. Turnover here is low, and there’s a reason: we work together, lean on each other’s strengths, and take care of our people.

Where You Could Fit

We hire across the whole company. Here’s a look at the teams and the kind of work they do:

  • Custom Stainless Production — our high-end job shop. Machining, TIG welding, electromechanical assembly, and surface finishing on custom stainless steel equipment. Craftsman-level work in a very clean shop, where no two projects are the same.
  • Rheo Flexibles Production — an ISO 7 cleanroom environment building our Flexibles product line. Operating equipment like CNC machines and custom-built plastic welders, with full PPE and set first and second shifts. A great entry point into manufacturing — no prior experience in a cleanroom required.
  • Mechanical Design Engineering — two teams: Application Engineering, designing custom solutions for customer projects, and New Product Development, building and improving Rheo’s standard product lines.
  • Controls & Electrical Engineering — designing the automation, controls, and electrical systems that bring our equipment to life.
  • Project Management — guiding custom projects from purchase order to delivery, keeping customers, engineering, and production on the same page.
  • Warehouse & Inventory — receiving, staging, and managing the materials and parts that keep production moving.
  • Quality — the team behind our quality system — inspection, CAPAs, equipment and process validation, and audits — making sure everything we build meets the standard our customers count on.
  • Purchasing — sourcing materials, parts, and vendors, and keeping production supplied on time and at the right price.
  • Sales — working directly with customers to understand their process and challenges, and shaping the right solution — whether that’s a standard product, a custom-engineered system, or something in between.
  • Accounting — managing the numbers, from payables and receivables to the financial side of every project.
  • Human Resources — a true business partner — hiring, onboarding, and benefits, plus partnering with management on organizational development, training, and building a team people want to be a part of.
  • Administration — the front-office and behind-the-scenes support that keeps the whole operation organized and moving.

What It’s Like to Work Here

  • Work that matters — the equipment we build helps make life-saving medicine around the world, and demand for it keeps growing.
  • A small team where you’re a name, not a number — about 100 people, low turnover, and coworkers who have your back.
  • A flexible work environment — we believe good work and a good life go together, and we build schedules that respect both.
  • Room to grow — we’re growing fast, opportunities keep opening up, and we’re always on the lookout for capable leaders. Show us the effort, ability, and desire, and we’ll help you develop.
  • Great benefits — see the full list below.

What We Look For

  • Competence — the ability to do your job well, and the drive to keep getting better at it.
  • Reliability — persistent follow-through on your commitments. When you say it will get done, it gets done.
  • Bold Humility — the courage to speak and act, and the humility to listen — no arrogance, no egos.

  • Leading medical insurance — consistently low rates compared to other businesses in the area
  • Health Savings Account with employer contributions (plan-dependent)
