
Business Development Associate
Rhino’s Healthcare and Life Science (HCLS) team targets organizations spanning biopharma, academia, hospitals and health systems, professional medical societies and tech bios to help solve important data and AI challenges. We are looking for a business development associate to play a critical role in helping the HCLS team achieve our revenue goals by facilitating connections with new prospects that contribute to a robust, growing sales pipeline. Our platform has already proven to add value for a variety of technology leaders and we’re seeking a motivated and eager individual to help us expand our reach further. You will report to the VP, Life Sciences.
Core Responsibilities
- Drive lead generation by researching and identifying viable HCLS customer opportunities via networking events, cold email, and LinkedIn outreach to build a qualified pipeline for the HCLS business.
- Develop customer profiles, including identifying target customer needs and the most effective way to address those needs.
- Serve as as a key resource for meeting preparation, CRM hygiene and proposal support
- Immerse yourself in the world of HCLS, monitoring news about target prospects’ adoption of or challenges with AI/ML, and sharing those trends with others on the team to influence our product marketing, product, and/or commercial strategies
- Nurture leads by keeping prospects abreast of developments with the Rhino FCP and/or trends or use cases
- Engage with Senior Executives, Engineers, Product Teams, Procurement, and Legal from prospect accounts.
- Capture and provide feedback to our team on market pain points / opportunities, and what value props are or are not resonating with prospects

- Proven success in business development, consulting, field marketing, sales or related experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to compellingly articulate—verbally and in writing—Rhino’s product offering to audiences with varying levels of technical skill and seniority.
- Curiosity-driven ability to develop deep familiarity with the Rhino Federated Computing Platform, and how it can be used to solve a wide range of real-world problems.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding goals.
- Proven ability to manage CRM data hygiene and generate actionable pipeline reports
- Affinity for a fast-paced, technical environment; familiarity with AI, data science, cloud computing and/or data platforms
What We Require
- 2+ years of consulting, sales, field marketing or business development for an organization focused on selling to HCLS industry
- Proficiency with sales tools (e.g. Hubspot, LinkedIn Navigator, Zoom Info)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail
- Self‑starter mentality with a growth mindset and comfort working in a fast‑paced startup environment
- Open to travel (20%+) per business needs.
- Boston-based (must be in the office 1+ days a week)
Measures of Success
Our target outcomes for this role are (1) new meetings (2) new logos and (3) revenue. As part of accomplishing these, you will drive the following leading indicators:
- Outreach volume to target profiles
- Qualified meetings sourced
- Qualified meetings (conversion of meetings into deals)
- Sales enablement (meeting prep, CRM hygiene, account/ prospect research)
