
AP/AR Specialist

We’re hiring an AP/AR Specialist to oversee the company’s accounts payable and receivable processes with accuracy and efficiency. This individual will be responsible for managing vendor invoices, processing payments, supporting customer billing and collections, and ensuring timely and accurate accounting of transactions. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-driven and passionate about keeping processes organized and running smoothly.
What You'll Do
- Manage accounts payable, including processing, coding, and ensuring accurate budget allocation for all invoices.
- Serve as the primary liaison for vendors, promptly addressing payment status and other inquiries.
- Perform 3-way match on inventory bills by ensuring accurate alignment between purchase orders, vendor invoices, and receiving reports. Reconcile inventory vendors to balances owed at month-end, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.
- Prepare and execute timely payments to vendors via ACH, check, or wire
- Maintain AP aging reports and resolve invoice discrepancies
- Generate customer invoices and monitor AR aging to ensure timely collections
- Assist with reconciliation of customer chargebacks and payments
- Follow up with customers on overdue balances and escalate as needed
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to AP and AR
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor and customer records
- Support audit requests and documentation
What You'll Bring
- 1-2 years of experience in an AP/AR or similar accounting support role
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Familiarity with accounting systems (e.g., Bill.com, NetSuite, QuickBooks)
- Proficiency in Excel and comfort with data entry and reconciliations
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of accounting best practices and internal controls

- Salary range budgeted for position: $70,000-$80,000
