Rhombus is seeking a highly motivated and intellectually curious Strategic Solutions Associate to support business development, strategic growth initiatives, and client engagement efforts. This role sits at the intersection of market intelligence, proposal development, sales enablement, and strategic analysis. You’ll help accelerate pipeline growth by conducting research, developing client-facing content, supporting proposal efforts, and translating complex capabilities into compelling customer value propositions.

The ideal candidate combines strong writing and analytical skills backed by a strong interest in global affairs, emerging technologies, and client-facing business development. You’ll work closely with senior leadership, product teams, and subject matter experts to support growth initiatives and position Rhombus as a trusted partner and thought leader.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Insights:

  • Design and execute customer interviews, surveys, and feedback collection efforts.
  • Analyze user feedback to identify trends, customer needs, and areas for product or messaging improvement. 
  • Translate customer insights into actionable recommendations for business development, marketing, product development, and strategic positioning. 
  • Help establish repeatable processes for gathering and incorporating customer feedback into company decision-making.

Sales Enablement & Content Development:

  • Create, maintain, and continuously improve sales collateral, presentations, marketing materials, and customer-facing content. 
  • Develop compelling vignettes, case studies, capability overviews, and solution briefs that clearly communicate platform value and customer outcomes. 
  • Support the creation of executive briefings, customer presentations, and demonstration materials for client engagements and industry events. 
  • Ensure messaging remains aligned with company strategy, product evolution, and market needs. 

Market Research & Competitive Intelligence:

  • Conduct research on prospective clients, competitors, partners, emerging technologies, and market trends. 
  • Develop competitive intelligence products that inform business development strategy and opportunity pursuit efforts. 
  • Analyze industry developments, geopolitical dynamics, regulatory environments, and market shifts to identify new opportunities and risks. 
  • Maintain awareness of customer priorities and evolving market requirements to support strategic positioning. 

Proposal Development & Opportunity Support:

  • Assist with the development of proposals, statements of work, demos, concept papers, and business requirements documentation. 
  • Collaborate with technical and product teams to translate platform capabilities into clear, differentiated client value propositions. 
  • Support opportunity qualification, capture planning, and pursuit activities throughout the business development lifecycle.
  • Help coordinate inputs from multiple stakeholders to produce high-quality, timely proposal submissions. 

Thought Leadership & Strategic Communications:

  • Research, draft, and refine white papers, analytical products, blog content, case studies, and other thought leadership materials under the direction of senior leadership. 
  • Develop content that demonstrates Rhombus' expertise, market perspective, and platform capabilities. 
  • Support the publication and dissemination of strategic insights that strengthen brand awareness and market credibility. 

Strategic Analysis & Product Feedback:

  • Leverage geopolitical, economic, and security expertise to assess developments relevant to customers and markets. 
  • Conduct analysis of global events and trends that may influence product strategy, customer requirements, or solution development. 
  • Provide structured feedback to product and engineering teams based on market research, customer interactions, and industry developments.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen product-market fit and improve customer outcomes. 

Executive & Strategic Initiative Support:

  • Conduct background research and prepare written materials for executive leadership, priority client engagements, and strategic initiatives. 
  • Support executive travel, customer demonstrations, conferences, and business development activities through preparation of briefing materials, agendas, and follow-up actions. 
  • Assist with special projects and strategic initiatives as directed by leadership

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in International Relations, Political Science, Business, Economics, Security Studies, Communications, Marketing, or a related field. 
  • Strong research, analytical, and critical thinking skills. 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities. 
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into concise, actionable insights.
  • Experience creating presentations, reports, and client-facing materials. 
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications. 

Preferred

  • Professional experience in business development, consulting, market research, strategic communications, intelligence analysis, or a related field. 
  • Knowledge of geopolitical, economic, security, or technology trends. 
  • Experience supporting proposal development, capture efforts, or customer-facing engagements. 
  • Familiarity with SaaS, enterprise software, data analytics, or intelligence platforms.
  • Experience conducting surveys, interviews, or customer research initiatives.

  • Timely delivery and quality of sales collateral, proposals, and customer-facing materials. 
  • Contribution to pipeline growth and opportunity progression through research and proposal support. 
  • Quality and impact of competitive intelligence and market analysis products.
  • Production of thought leadership content that strengthens market positioning and brand credibility. 
  • Actionable customer insights generated through feedback and research initiatives.
  • Effectiveness in supporting executive priorities, strategic initiatives, and customer engagements. 
  • Stakeholder satisfaction across business development, product, and leadership teams.
