Finance Systems Intern (Amsterdam)

About the Role:

We are looking for a Finance Systems Intern to create meaningful change to the overall systems environment and provide efficient support to business.

As the Finance Systems Intern, you have a unique position within the Company overseeing major financial processes. Your responsibilities vary from timely response to business users to engaging in cross-functional tasks and delivery of global projects. 

You will work with various internal stakeholders across functions to ensure the systems deliver accurate and timely information to meet the businesses reporting and analysis needs. Using strong technical knowledge of the finance systems you will assist in the creation and delivery of new solutions to improve processes and meet evolving requirements. You will have the opportunity to develop solutions from scratch.

All coming together you will have a key-role in the further growth of Tier+Dott!

What you’ll do:

  • Oversee systems in terms of master data/user maintenance/data transfer: Oracle NetSuite (ERP-system), PayHawk (out of pocket expense and Corporate cards management system)
  • Support business users and provide training
  • Take part in end-to-end process improvements: gather requirements, document processes, scope, write specifications and data flows, develop, test, implement, review
  • Play an active role in the development and implementation of new systems to maintain efficiencies in finance

What you’ll need:

  • Education in Finance, Information Management, Technology Management, Business Informatics or related field (or last course eligible to work at least 32 hours)
  • Experience with MS Excel / Google Sheets (advanced level)
  • Experience with SQL (intermediate level) and any object-oriented language (low intermediate level)
  • Experience with any ERP-system preferable
  • Hard-working and structured worker with supportive mindset 
  • Passion for technology and innovation
