Global Payroll Specialist (all genders) in Wroclaw

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Global Payroll Specialist with a strong background in European payroll to join our Global payroll team. This role focuses primarily on managing payroll processes for Germany and Nordics (but not limited to these regions). Responsibilities include preparing payroll inputs, ensuring compliance with local laws and maintaining accurate, timely payroll processes.
The successful candidate will also play a key role in our Global Payroll Transformation Project by supporting the transition from multiple payroll providers to a single global provider.
What you'll do
- Support with daily employee queries regarding their payroll via our helpdesk system.
- Manage payroll from end to end, including preparing payroll data and inputs for the payroll provider in the required formats and templates. Providing support with data validation, testing and implementation tasks.
- Extract and prepare reports from our time and attendance system for the grounds team, covering details such as night shifts, vacation, overtime, and sickness.
- Ensure all payroll payments are processed accurately and on time, meeting all payroll deadlines.
- Provide general payroll support to the team, stepping in to cover payrolls managed by other team members during their absences or holidays.
- Maintain a strong understanding of payroll processes and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with payroll providers and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and efficient processes.
- Ensure timely escalation of any payroll-related issues and concerns to management.
- Adhere to all established payroll controls and compliance standards to maintain accuracy and integrity in payroll processes
- Support process improvement initiatives to streamline payroll operations, maintain compliance, and enhance payroll efficiency across the business.
What you'll need
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience managing EU payroll, with experience in Germany, or Nordinc countries as a plus.
- Proficiency in Excel, with the ability to handle complex spreadsheets and data analysis.
- Strong language skills, German and other EU language desirable (both written and spoken)
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and external payroll providers.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll processes and local labor laws is essential.
- Experience with ShyftPlan, Humanity and CloudPay payroll systems desirable
