Staff Product Designer, Core Platform

We are looking for an experienced Product Designer to join Ridgeline’s Core Platform team—an essential part of our mission to build a unified cloud-native enterprise platform for investment management. As a member of this team, you’ll be responsible for architecting flexible, reusable design solutions that support critical platform capabilities across our suite of applications. You will collaborate with design, product, and engineering leaders to craft experiences that drive performance, consistency, and usability for our internal and external users. This role offers the opportunity to make outsized impact through thoughtful systems design, powered by cutting-edge technologies—including AI tools like Figma AI, ChatGPT, and GitHub Copilot.

What will you do?

  • Define and design cohesive patterns, interaction models, and frameworks that enable consistency across Ridgeline’s platform
  • Contribute to and evolve our design system to scale with platform growth
  • Partner with engineers and product managers to architect solutions that are elegant, scalable, and technically feasible
  • Lead discovery efforts to understand the needs of diverse user types interacting with foundational platform features
  • Create prototypes and conduct user testing to validate design hypotheses and ensure usability
  • Collaborate with fellow designers to drive adoption of platform conventions and unify user experiences across products
  • Communicate design intent, rationale, and tradeoffs clearly to diverse stakeholders
  • Champion best practices in UX and advocate for a human-centered, system-aware design approach
  • Mentor less experienced designers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and craft excellence

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in digital product design, preferably in B2B or platform environments
  • Proven ability to tackle complex information architecture and system-level design problems
  • Deep experience in interaction design, visual design, and prototyping
  • Strong strategic thinking and product judgment
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams with a track record of shipping high-quality features
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and driving clarity through iteration and collaboration
  • Experience working with and evolving design systems
  • Strong systems thinking, prioritization, and stakeholder management to navigate competing priorities to maximize platform tooling leverage

Bonus:

  • Background in enterprise SaaS or financial technology
  • Experience with Figma tokens, design ops, or front-end frameworks
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
  • Prior work on internal tools, developer platforms, or cross-product services

Compensation and Benefits 

The cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $135,000-$155,000. Final compensation amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amount listed above.
