Staff Product Manager, Data Intelligence

San Ramon, CA; New York, NY; Reno, NV

Are you excited about owning the reporting and data-querying infrastructure that powers how investment firms explore and rely on their data? If so, we invite you to join our innovative team.As a Senior Product Manager on Ridgeline's Reporting Data Curation team, you'll own product discovery and delivery for the Reporting Engine, Report Builder's data layer, and the Historical Data Archive. You'll partner with engineering on our distributed query platform to enable scalable, performant querying and reporting over complex, cross-domain datasets, and help curate that data as a governed, trusted product that other teams — and increasingly AI agents — can rely on.

You must be work authorized in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.

What will you do?

  • Curate and govern the datasets and data models the team exposes to Reporting Experience and other consumers, ensuring they carry consistent structure, provenance, freshness, and quality signals that both people and downstream software can trust
  • Partner with Engineering on Ridgeline's distributed query platform to scale performant querying and analysis over large, complex, cross-domain datasets
  • Partner with domain teams (Accounting, Performance, Market Data, and others) to identify which reporting concepts need a shared, governed definition versus which should remain owned by a single domain, working within Ridgeline's broader shared data foundation
  • Write clear use-case documents, PRDs, and product definitions that make Reporting Data Curation's promises to its consumers concrete and testable
  • Partner closely with Reporting Experience and Reporting Workflow to ensure Reporting Data Curation's roadmap reflects real customer and product needs
  • Support customer go-lives and respond to enhancement requests from existing customers, partnering with Customer Experience and Support
  • Use AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Glean) throughout the product lifecycle for research synthesis, requirements drafting, and documentation
  • Think creatively, own problems, seek solutions, and communicate clearly along the way
  • Contribute to a collaborative environment deeply rooted in learning, teaching, and transparency

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in product management or a similar function, with a track record of owning and shipping larger, cross-functional features or platform capabilities
  • Comfort engaging with engineering on data architecture, query performance, and platform tradeoffs, without needing to be an engineer yourself
  • Ability to write clear, specific, testable product definitions, PRDs, and use cases with minimal churn
  • Strong fintech or enterprise SaaS domain knowledge, ideally with exposure to investment reporting, portfolio accounting, or data/query platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to influence product direction through data-driven insight and clear communication with both technical and business stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to take initiative, manage ambiguity, and build strong cross-functional relationships
  • A self-motivated, strong collaborator who can manage competing stakeholder needs and communicate tradeoffs effectively
  • Active use of AI tools as part of your day-to-day PM workflow
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers at all levels
  • Serious interest in having fun at work

Bonus

  • Experience with distributed query engines (e.g., Trino, Spark), data curation, or data governance
  • Experience with investment reporting, client statements, or performance analytics
  • CFA Charter, CIPM, or similar designation
  • Familiarity with AWS, APIs, and modern cloud/data platform concepts

Classification of protected categories is as follows:

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 07/31/2029

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
