The Opportunity

The Rimes Technologies Infrastructure Team is the very heart of the Technology Organization, its primary objectives to ensure that the Technology in use by Rimes customers is innovative, reliable, performant, scalable and secure. Delivering world class Customer experience for our both External and Internal users to the Rimes Corporation. 

We operate a global service, our teams are both passionate and committed to the demands of our customers ensuring that we are both innovative and proactive in delivering the technology and mission critical data within SLA. Rimes delivers its technology from both our own Datacenter and the Cloud.

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our global Technology team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established firm with a global presence and significant growth potential.

As a senior you will: 

  • Act as technical lead for Infrastructure and cross-team projects 
  • Guide the team of Engineers in best practices, setting the example
  • Be at the forefront of Rimes engineering capabilities. You will participate in architectural decision-making, mentoring junior engineers, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and driving the adoption of best practices in infrastructure management.
  • Build systems and implement innovative technologies to support next generation Rimes platform in our Data Center and the Cloud
  • Optimize data center Infrastructure to improve performance, utilisation, availability and security, whilst controlling costs
  • Maintain observability best practices to measure compliance with Rimes SLO’s
  • Implement efficient monitoring systems to measure performance and reliability of production systems.
  • Participate in Capacity and Performance planning

Who you are:

Core requirements: 

  • Strong Network knowledge – Cisco / HP  
  • Deep Azure knowledge
  • Experience of supporting physical Datacenters, Hardware, O/S and networks
  • Knowledge of VMWare virtualisation
  • Demonstratable knowledge of Windows Server 2019/2022
  • Good communication skills, especially the ability to communicate across teams and participate in incident management
  • Competent problem solverBachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
