About DWS
At DWS, we’re capturing the opportunities of tomorrow. You can be part of a leading, client-committed, global Asset Manager, making an impact on individuals, communities, and the world. Today, markets still face a whole new set of pressures – but also a whole lot of opportunity too. Opportunity to innovate differently. Opportunity to invest responsibly. And opportunity to make change. This is needed more than ever as we currently experience high interest rates, a once-in-a-lifetime health crisis, a shift in global demographics – and politics – as well as advances in digitalization and economies moving towards a more sustainable future.
While there is always uncertainty in markets, one thing remains clear: there is always a new situation that requires the right investment answers. We call it the new now.
About the DWS P.A.C.E. Program
Our 2-year P.A.C.E. program consists of a technical training period and is followed by four six-month rotations within your assigned division, where you will have the opportunity to implement your technical training in a practical setting with expert guidance.
About the Anti Financial Crime and Compliance Team
Anti Financial Crime (AFC) serves a critical role in ensuring that DWS acts with integrity and discipline with regards to the legal and regulatory requirements of the Anti-Money Laundering regime. One of its objectives is to have sufficient systems and controls to reduce financial crimes that may be committed through money laundering or terrorist financing. AFC cooperates closely with regulatory authorities and contributes to the fight against cybercrime. Areas of responsibility include adherence and policy management for anti-fraud, bribery and corruption, anti-money laundering, sanctions, and embargoes.
Compliance is mandated by regulators to be an independent control function that advises the management body and other relevant staff on regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures. Compliance establishes policies, procedures and processes to prevent and detect violations and manages compliance risks through training, risk assessments, surveillance, testing and monitoring.
As an AFC & Compliance P.A.C.E. Graduate you will:
-
Gain deep insight to risk types of AFC and Compliance including, but not limited to, conflicts of interest, market abuse, anti-money laundering and anti-fraud.
-
Conduct surveillance, risk assessments, testing, marketing review, training, conflicts analysis and regulatory reporting.
-
Collaborate with colleagues within the AFC and Compliance team to strengthen processes, analyze legal and regulatory requirements, examine data, and develop procedures in support of the business.
-
Analyze risks of new financial products before they are brought to market.
-
Create supporting documents, presentations and overviews as required, to share findings with colleagues.
-
Attend meetings within the AFC and Compliance team, as well as with the business, to discuss ad hoc projects and initiatives as required according to business strategy and objectives.
-
Be part of the global P.A.C.E. community
