Join our Security Program Management Team

The Application Security Technology Group is responsible for the technologies powering Akamai’s security products and protecting some of the world’s major internet brands. Within the program management branch of the team, you’ll be responsible for contributing to strategic initiative projects.

 Make a difference with hands-on strategy

In this role, you’ll be working cross-functionally with program managers, security executives, engineers, and Akamai’s competitive intelligence team to help inform strategy. You’ll work on creating product roadmaps, tracking milestones and deliverables, and debriefing executive leadership. You’ll also contribute to content development, presentations, and the preparation for key industry events.

 As an Intern – Business Operations, you will be responsible for:

●      Analyzing information on strategic initiatives and relaying relevant summaries to leadership

●      Supporting communications for the Senior Vice President of Security Applications

●      Creating content, presentations, talking points, and prep documents for industry and media events

●      Contributing to strategic initiatives through roadmaps, milestone tracking, and project execution

●      Analyzing customer and marketing insights, analyst reports, and information alongside the competitive intelligence team

 Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

●      Be currently studying in a Bachelor’s degree program in Business, Communications, or another related field and returning to school after the conclusion of the internship.

●      Be able to work out of the Dallas, Texas office as needed throughout the summer

●      Demonstrate exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to present to executive-level leadership

●      Be able to thoroughly and succinctly analyze and summarize technical information

●      Have team organization skills, ensuring best practices in cross-functional global teams

●      Have experience using Google Suite (Tableau experience is a plus)
