Overview

 

Breakthru Beverage Group in partnership with one of key strategic supplier partners, Brown-Forman is seeking full-time diverse Sales Leadership Development Interns for our Washington, DC Market. This is a 10-week summer internship which requires 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

 

Our 10-week Summer Sales Leadership Development Internship Program in Washington, DC will allow HBCU and PBI college students to get a glimpse into what it's like to be a part of the Beverage Alcohol Industry with a focus on the Distribution tier of the business. 

 

During your time as an Intern, you will sharpen your leadership skills, work on real-world challenges, and collaborate with the best leaders in the industry.

 

You will have the opportunity to network with executives and key leaders, participate in experiential learning and social events with other interns and our leadership development professionals.

As a leading national distributor in beverage alcohol, we are responsible for identifying the strategic path to growth and enabling activation with our sales teams.


Responsibilities

 

  • Through this internship, you'll get exposure to business-critical projects, data analysis and strategy development, while working with cross functional team members in sales, field marketing, finance, etc. 
  • Lead in the development and delivery of business analysis and sales strategy related projects to drive business growth.
  • Work closely with commercial sales leadership and team to ensure effective communication, project delivered on time and in full and future execution of project recommendations.
  • Partner with sales, marketing, and other cross functional partners to identify business opportunities.
  • Other projects as assigned.


Qualifications

 

  • Currently enrolled at HBCU or PBI in an undergraduate program with a target graduation date between December 2025 and June 2026.
  • A successful candidate will have a natural curiosity, willingness to learn, and the ability to engage and influence a diverse group of colleagues and customers – all to drive positive business results.
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a Business, Sales, Marketing, Communications, Analytics, or related field.
  • Interested in Sales Leadership or Field Marketing career path.
  • Must be 21 years of age at time of internship.
  • Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to investigate complex issues and conduct root cause analysis to resolve problems.
  • Must be able to prioritize and balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.
