Job Summary 
The Assistant Strategist, Out of Home entry-level position where the candidate will assist team in various support functions across the OOH buying process for assigned accounts. This position requires an individual to strategically think and problem solve while paying meticulous attention to detail. The Assistant Strategist is expected to show integrity, a thirst for learning, drive and initiative, along with overall communication and organization skills to succeed in a fast-paced work environment.

What You’ll Do

50% - Account Coordination

  • Assist with day-to-day account maintenance tasks inclusive the input of media buys into SBMS (billing system). Gather and distribute production material specs, based on plan parameters

  • Develop relationships with OOH vendors as well as a perspective of markets they cover and formats they represent. Coordinate vendor meetings

  • Distribute traffic instructions/posting instructions to vendors and ensure they are received by each vendor

  • Follow up with vendor to ensure materials arrived on time for an on-time post

  • Keep team updated on the status and timing of deliverables

  • Collaborate with team to identify data and billing discrepancies and recommend creative solutions

20% - Planning

  • Support team media plan support including, budget tracking, implementation, maintenance, and post buy attribution review

  • Compile and prepare competitive data and target research for analysis to inform media strategy; begin to recognize patterns and trends

15% - Internal & External Relationship Development

  • Engage and effectively interact with direct team, other internal Horizon Media departments, as well as media operators

15% - Training & Development

  • Advance knowledge and learn about the media industry, Horizon Media, and our clients

  • Participate in Horizon’s Media 101 training program, as well as other syndicated and proprietary training sessions (i.e. Excel Basics, Business Writing, Presentation Skills, and more)

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant work or internship experience

  • Proficiency working within Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Salary Range

$40,000.00 - $50,000.00
