Internship Job title: Research Science Formulation Internship              

Department / Division:  XS & West Market PD / R&D   

Hourly Range: $28 – 38/hour 

Location:                          Ada, MI

Work Arrangement: Onsite

This team supports XS and local development projects, including both internal manufacturing and buyout suppliers. 

How would an intern contribute to the team’s success: 

This intern can support local development with Amway North America and/or XS Brand prototyping as we continue to develop targeted products.

An example of a typical project would be: 

Propose prototypes that meet cost targets and profile asks, working beside Marketing, Regulatory, and manufacturing teams to offer a solution, accelerating the team forward through development. 

Required skills and background: 

• Desired Major: Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry, or a closely related field 

• Desired Class Year: Junior, Senior, Master's, or PHD

• Desired Skills: 

  • Product development

  • Lab bench prototyping

  • Regulatory understanding

  • Food science & chemistry fundamentals (stability, sensory)

  • Nutrition science: ability to design formulations that meet nutritional goals, macronutrient ratios, micronutrient dosage, dietary claims, allergens, etc. 

  • Curiosity, Cross-Functional Collaboration, and Confidence!
