The Amway ID team is a high performing, very collaborative team that delivers global authentication and authorization solutions to support Amway’s global eCommerce sites, services, and mobile applications.
The Amway ID team is designing, building and deploying a new Identity platform as part of a larger Technology platform called NextGen. This solution will be deployed globally to all Amway markets in over 60 countries. The Identity solution will deliver a leading-edge login experience and enable advanced capabilities such as social login, passwordless solutions and step-up authentication. The platform is developed in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to be scalable, reliable, resilient, performant, and secure.
How would an intern contribute to the team’s success:
As an Amway ID team member, you would collaborate with a team of Software Developers, and other team disciplines using Agile\Scrum methodologies to help design and develop new high value technical solutions to meet business requirements around end-user Identity features.
An example of a typical project would be:

Develop behavior-based anomaly and threat detection system using AI and Machine Learning.

Develop an automated UI testing suite that can be used for automated regression testing of common identity flows such as Login, Forgot Password, Change Password, etc.

Develop a web pop-up for ABOs/Customers accessing the website that will prompt them to validate their phone/email over time to prevent users from losing access to their account.

Develop ability for ABOs/Customers to view and delete their current sessions from a user interface within the Amway website to allow users to logout of old devices or take action if an attacker may have gained access to their account.
Required skills and background:

Desired Major: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering
