As a Talent Assessment Specialist at Rise8, you will:
Strengthen our hiring rigor and candidate experience by running structured Topgrading interviews, assessing Talent as it aligns to our values, ensuring a pipeline of A Players, and supporting interviewer training and calibration. You’ll be the lead on interviewer quality, helping ensure that hiring decisions are consistent, evidence-based, and aligned to Rise8’s values and competency model. This role partners closely with Enablement to support future learning initiatives but initially focuses on execution and operational excellence.
- Conduct structured interviews and Topgrading-style deep interviews for mid-to-senior level candidates; synthesize findings into concise candidate summaries and hiring recommendations.
- Execute high-quality interviewer training and calibration sessions using existing materials: facilitate workshops, deliver training, collect feedback, and maintain trainer resources.
- Ensure interview artifacts (scorecards, notes, decision memos) are complete, objective, and stored in Greenhouse (or the ATS).
- Partner with Enablement to identify gaps in interview coverage and recommend immediate fixes to reduce hiring risk.
- Help maintain and refine competency models and role-specific interview guides in partnership with People Ops and Enablement.
- Provide coaching to interviewers post-interview where needed (e.g., how to ask follow-up questions, avoid bias).
- Measure interviewer performance and feedback quality; report metrics and trends to leadership.
- Support short-term projects related to interview process improvements (e.g., panel sequencing, scorecard templates, candidate experience touchpoints).
- Escalate systemic issues or policy questions to People Ops; recommend but do not own large-scale process redesigns initially.
Qualifications:
- 3–6 years of experience in recruiting, Top Grading, talent assessment, or talent operations.
- Direct experience conducting structured interviews and synthesizing interview evidence into hiring recommendations. Experience with Topgrading or comparable deep-interview techniques is strongly preferred.
- Strong facilitation skills and experience running training or calibration sessions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication — can summarize complex human performance into concise, actionable notes.
- Experience with an ATS (preferably Greenhouse) and collaborating with recruiting teams.
- High integrity, strong bias for objectivity, and proven ability to handle confidential information.
- Comfortable in a fast-moving remote environment; able to prioritize and manage multiple requisitions and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of Organizational Psychology
- Familiarity with interviewer scoring rubrics, behavioral interviewing frameworks, or assessment centers.
- Experience partnering with Enablement/L&D on micro-learning or workshop delivery.
- Certified Topgrading interviewer, or training/certificate in structured interviewing, selection assessment, or similar.
