We're looking for an exceptional Benchmarking & Market Research Strategy Intern to help shape the future of our core platforms, products, and customer experiences in Singapore and across the APAC region. FinTech is one of the most complex and rapidly evolving spaces in technology, and the challenges we're tackling require deep innovation, critical thinking, and scale.
In this role, you will operate as an external competitive analyst and strategic advisor, analyzing detailed market mechanics and competitive brokerage activities to identify untapped market opportunities that directly inform our regional growth.
This role is based in our Singapore office, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week. At Robinhood, we believe in the power of in-person work to accelerate progress, spark innovation, and strengthen community.
What you'll do
- Conduct deep-dive industry benchmarking and competitive market research to identify untapped business opportunities and customer trends in Singapore.
- Research external brokerage activities, customer dynamics, and regulatory landscapes to help inform key strategic decisions for regional leadership.
- Leverage diverse data sources—including public filings, industry reports, and market intelligence—to construct clear, actionable recaps of market opportunities.
- Work closely with regional leadership on direct day-to-day strategic needs and ad hoc research requests.
- Partner cross-functionally with Legal, Compliance, Product, and regional stakeholders to ensure research findings holistically address business goals and local compliance
- standards.
- Synthesize complex market data into executive-ready summaries and presentations that define customer segments and product-market fit considerations for Singapore.
What you bring
- Currently enrolled in a full-time, degree-seeking program (Bachelor's or equivalent) with an expected graduation date between Winter 2027 and Spring 2028.
- Prior experience in college-level consulting, strategy projects, or non-traditional analytical work experience.
- Proven self-starter mindset with the ability to take full ownership of projects and drive results independently with minimal instruction.
- Strong interest in financial services, brokerage platforms, and the APAC fintech landscape.
- Ability to comfortably navigate ambiguous or incomplete information and synthesize it into clear strategic recommendations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to present high-impact insights directly to regional executive leadership.
- Coursework or prior exposure to market research, business strategy, finance, or related fields.
