  • Partner with domestic and international manufacturing partners, including Chinese suppliers, to ensure quality and scalability.
  • Conduct usability testing and iterate designs to meet user needs and production requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and incorporate human factors into design decisions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in industrial design, ideally with a focus on robotics, hardware, or IoT devices.
  • Strong expertise in manufacturing processes, including metal/plastic fabrication, machining, and integrated assembly.
  • Proficiency in CAD modeling, rendering, and creating detailed manufacturing drawings.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly present designs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Must work on-site at our office in the California Bay Area.
  • Must have and maintain US work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A portfolio showcasing end-to-end design processes for hardware or robotics products, from ideation to production.
  • Knowledge of safety and compliance standards for robotic systems.
  • Familiarity with human factors and designing ergonomic solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with prototyping and testing hardware designs.
