In this role, you will design, develop, and refine electrical systems and components for our cutting-edge robotic products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, mechanical engineers, and industrial designers, to create high-performance and reliable robotic solutions.

Responsibilities
- Develop and design electrical systems for highly complex robotic systems.
- Collaborate closely with vendors to design and develop various modules.
- Conduct feasibility studies and analysis to evaluate new technologies and components.
- Design schematics, direct board layouts, conduct design reviews, and draft detailed design documentation.
- Work effectively in a highly multidisciplinary environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of industrial experience in electrical engineering, preferably in robotics or automation.
- Proven track record of leading complex projects from concept to production.
- Hands-on experience with four or more of the following technologies:
- Cameras
- Sensors
- Arm application SoCs
- FPGAs
- Battery management systems
- DSPs
- Ethernet
- CAN bus
- Flexible circuit boards
- Motor design
- Motor control
- Industrial instrumentation development
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ready to thrive in a high-paced, fast-growing startup environment.
- Must work on-site at our office in the California Bay Area.
- Must have and maintain U.S. work authorization.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of industry experience in electrical design.
- 3+ years of experience in production-level robotic arm development.
- Experience with 3D vision systems.
- Experience with high-volume hardware products.
- Familiarity with CANOpen or EtherCAT protocols.
- Experience with driver and middleware development in Linux and RTOS.
