    Job Description

    We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Senior Delivery Manager to oversee and lead development projects executed by our North American onshore and Eastern Europe offshore teams. This role demands a data-driven approach to decision-making, strong client engagement skills, and the ability to manage project deadlines effectively. The role includes at least once a month travel to client sites in the USA to strengthen relationships and ensure alignment with business objectives.

    Key Responsibilities

    Team Leadership and Coordination

    • Manage and lead onshore & offshore development teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and accountability.
    • Act as the primary bridge between onshore stakeholders and offshore teams to ensure seamless communication.

    Delivery Management

    • Oversee the successful delivery of multiple concurrent projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
    • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and ensure delivery success.
    • Apply a data-driven approach to monitor project performance and optimize team output.

    Project Planning and Execution

    • Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to create and prioritize project roadmaps.
    • Proactively manage risks and implement contingency plans to meet project deadlines and objectives.

    Client Engagement and Communication

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the primary point of contact for project updates and deliverables.
    • Regularly update stakeholders on project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
    • Travel periodically to client sites in the USA for meetings, relationship building, and alignment on project goals.

     

    Technical Oversight

    • Provide strategic guidance to development teams on architecture, design, and best practices.
    • Drive the adoption of modern technologies, tools, and processes to improve efficiency and delivery outcomes.

    Process Improvement

    • Implement and optimize agile methodologies tailored to distributed team dynamics.
    • Identify and resolve bottlenecks in communication, development, and delivery.

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    • 12+ years in Software Development with at least 5+ years managing distributed onshore & offshore development teams, preferably in Eastern Europe.
    • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
    • Strong experience in managing deadlines and ensuring project success under tight schedules.
    • Ability to manage and optimize cross-functional team performance through data-driven insights.
    • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
    • Experience with modern tech stacks and cloud-based solutions.
    • Ability to provide architectural and technical leadership when required.
    • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
    • Experience working directly with clients, including presenting updates, managing expectations, and resolving escalations.
    • Experience working with Eastern European developers and a strong understanding of their working culture and strengths.
    • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Confluence).
    • A technical or managerial certification (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master, SAFe Agile).
    • Prior experience in roles requiring international travel and cross-cultural collaboration.
