Senior Front-End Engineer

Robots & Pencils is seeking a Frontend Developer to build elegant, scalable, and high-performance user interfaces for web applications across our client portfolio. This role focuses on delivering modern front-end solutions using React, while leveraging AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate delivery and maintain code quality. 

As a key contributor, you will take ownership of front-end development from design to release. You’ll help define architecture, ensure adherence to modern best practices, and ship features that delight users. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

• Build and maintain responsive, performant web applications using React. 

• Translate UX designs and product requirements into clean, reusable, and testable components. 

• Use AI tools to rapidly generate, refactor, and optimize code while maintaining best practices. 

• Collaborate with backend engineers, QA, designers, and product managers to align implementation with requirements. 

• Contribute to front-end architecture, accessibility, and performance improvements. 

 

Required Skills & Qualifications 

• 5+ years of professional front-end development experience. 

• Proficiency in React, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3. 

• Experience with state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, or similar). 

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and backend integration. 

• Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants to improve efficiency and code quality. 

• Strong understanding of responsive design and accessibility principles. 

Nice to Have 

• Exposure to Azure, Kubernetes, and cloud-native deployment models. 

• Familiarity with Postgres databases.
