Senior Director of Ticket Sales

The Rochester Knighthawks are seeking a Senior Director of Ticket Sales in Rochester, NY.
Reporting to the President & General Manager, the Senior Director of Ticket Sales will oversee all Ticket Sales strategy of the Rochester Knighthawks to achieve sales, retention, and revenue goals for the organization. This individual will also oversee and manage the day to day operations of the Ticket Sales department staff. Responsible for tracking of sales activity metrics and revenue goals on behalf of the Ticket Sales department, along with creating and managing all Ticket Sales packages for the staff to sell. Must work to collaborate with other departments as part of the business operations such as Partnerships, Marketing, Public Relations, Creative Services, Food/Beverage, and Building Operations to execute the Ticket Sales goals at the highest level.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Create, manage, and track all Ticket Sales initiatives and strategy for the Rochester Knighthawks.
- Oversee the entire Ticket Sales department with the managing of job performance and expectations – including Business Development, Group Sales, Membership Services, and Ticket Operations.
- Run weekly Tickets Sales Meetings to continue to lead the strategy and collaboration of the Ticket Sales efforts.
- Hold bi-weekly one on ones with individual Ticket Sales members to allow for professional and personal dialogue.
- Aid and lead in consistent training of the Ticket Sales department.
- Focus on the career development internally of the Ticket Sales staff and identify areas of growth within or outside of the organization.
- Lead and maintain a full pipeline of recruiting efforts and run the on-boarding of new Ticket Sales team members.
- Coordinate and execute Ticket Sales contests and incentives to achieve revenue goals.
- Ensure that all organizational, season, group and individual ticket sales and renewal goals are met annually.
- Led the efforts in generating leads through the Business Intelligence and CRM departments for the Ticket Sales department along with the other off-site lead generation events.
- Management of Ticket Sales department on gamedays, as well as during events, and community initiatives.
- Oversee and create all communications with Season Ticket Members and ticketing stakeholders, such as ticket promotions and special events.
- Collaborate with other departments to help achieve revenue goals, such as annual Season Ticket Member events, along with new business prospect events, group sales appreciation events, and other revenue generating opportunities.
- Manage and fulfill additional duties as assigned from time-to-time by the President & General Manager.
Minimum Qualifications for the Position:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Ticket Sales
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a managerial role
- Bachelor’s degree required
- CRM, TicketMaster, and Microsoft Office Suite experience required
- Ability to work non-traditional hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Salary at Seneca is based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The range of this position in other geographic locations may differ. The projected compensation range for this position is below. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of our total compensation package for employees.
The projected compensation range for this position is:
$65,000 - $75,000 USD
