Sales and Advertising Analyst

Rockbot is seeking a Sales and Advertising Analyst to join one of our fastest-growing divisions — Advertising. This is a newly created role designed to support the continued expansion of our programmatic and direct-sold business as well as analyze and identify new growth opportunities. You won't just be stepping into an existing seat — you'll help shape how yield and supply strategy evolves as we scale, including how we harness AI to unlock smarter optimization, sharper forecasting, and more efficient operations across our inventory.
In this role, you will lead yield and supply strategy, performance analysis, venue and vertical growth, and monetization optimization across our Digital Out of Home (DOOH) and Connected TV (CTV) inventory. You'll drive improvements in fill rates, pacing, pricing strategy, business development, and delivery efficiency — applying AI-powered tools and workflows to identify new or underutilized pockets of inventory and unlock incremental revenue at scale.
As a key partner in scaling Rockbot's advertising business, you'll bring strong analytical rigor, deep programmatic expertise, data evaluation and analysis, fluency with modern AI tooling, and a builder's mindset toward evolving our yield systems and processes.

You'll collaborate closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Data to uncover insights, drive optimization, and help shape the future of out-of-home media.
You Will:
- Own yield strategy and fill analysis across Rockbot's advertising inventory, balancing campaigns, CPM performance, and partner goals.
- Monitor impression delivery, pacing, and budget utilization across programmatic and direct campaigns.
- Identify key areas for supply optimization, delivering vertical, regional, and seasonal insights to the programmatic and direct sales teams.
- Forecast new revenue opportunities through supply data analysis, focusing on venue and vertical growth and expansion.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting systems that surface revenue trends, anomalies, and growth opportunities — leveraging AI-assisted tools to accelerate insight generation and anomaly detection.
- Leverage LLMs and generative AI to streamline operational workflows, synthesize performance data, and surface actionable recommendations faster.
- Apply AI-driven approaches to pricing optimization and yield modeling, helping Rockbot stay ahead of demand patterns and market shifts.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to evaluate ad serving logic, targeting performance, and delivery efficiency.
- Audit and refine transparency and compliance files (ads.txt, sellers.json, s-chain) to ensure monetization integrity.
- Support pricing strategy, packaging, and forecasting for new advertising products and launches.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements — including AI-enabled automation — that drive scalable yield performance.
- Collaborate across commercial and technical teams to ensure advertising execution aligns with broader business goals.
You Have:
- 5–8 years of experience in yield management, data evaluation/analysis, ad operations, revenue strategy, or ad tech analytics.
- Deep fluency in media math — impressions, CPMs, pacing, budgets, forecasting, and delivery mechanics.
- Expertise in aggregating and analyzing data into actionable insights for cross-departmental applications.
- Strong understanding of the programmatic ecosystem, including DSPs, SSPs, ad servers, and supply-side optimization.
- Experience working with DOOH, CTV, or multi-channel media inventory (bonus if both).
- Hands-on experience using AI tools — including LLMs or gen AI platforms — to enhance reporting, streamline workflows, or accelerate operational decision-making.
- Familiarity with AI-driven yield or pricing optimization concepts, with a curiosity to push further as the tooling evolves.
- Proficiency in Excel and BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Comfortability in crafting and articulating the data story at all levels of the company.
- Extensive real-world experience developing and refining advanced AI prompts.
- Exceptional communication skills — you can translate complex performance data into clear recommendations and action.
- A high-horsepower, proactive mindset with a bias toward continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Compensation:
Rockbot takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location in the U.S. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
The base compensation band for this role is $95K to $120K, plus equity and benefits for all team members.
