Director of Growth Marketing

Remote

Rockbot is looking for a Director of Growth Marketing to help architect and scale the next phase of our growth engine. You will lead the strategies and systems that drive customer acquisition, pipeline growth, and lifetime value, with an increasingly AI-augmented approach to how modern marketing gets done. We're looking for a seasoned, hands-on leader who combines deep demand generation expertise with genuine fluency in AI tools: someone who doesn't just know what's possible, but actively builds skills, workflows and team habits around it.

The Rockbot team is committed to creating uniquely qualified brand opportunities by changing the way digital media is experienced in businesses of every size and shape. We are technologists, music lovers, and content creators all focused on producing the most amazing customer experience possible, and we're having a great time doing it. If this sounds compelling, let's talk.

What You’ll Do

Build and Scale Rockbot’s Growth Engine

Lead and evolve Rockbot’s growth marketing function with a focus on qualified pipeline, customer acquisition, and measurable business impact.

You will:

  • Build scalable growth systems that drive pipeline, acquisition, and marketing contribution to revenue
  • Establish repeatable operating and measurement practices that support long-term growth
  • Balance near-term demand generation with durable growth investments

Inbound Demand Generation + Paid Acquisition

  • Own digital lead generation across paid search, paid social, display, retargeting, and emerging acquisition channels
  • Drive qualified pipeline and customer acquisition through scalable, measurable demand generation programs
  • Optimize performance across Google, Bing, LinkedIn, Reddit, and evolving AI-powered discovery channels
  • Continuously evaluate channel performance and allocate spend based on measurable return

Build Thoughtful Growth Strategy

Design differentiated growth motions aligned to customer segments and buying behavior.

You will:

  • Build distinct growth strategies for SMB, enterprise, and strategic account motions
  • Support both high-velocity conversion and longer, multi-touch sales cycles
  • Partner with Sales on account-based engagement and pipeline acceleration

You understand that these motions require fundamentally different acquisition and nurture strategies.

AI-Native Marketing Operations

Help modernize how marketing work gets done.

You will:

  • Evaluate and implement AI-powered growth marketing tools
  • Build AI-enabled workflows that improve speed, efficiency, and campaign performance
  • Experiment with orchestration layers, automation, and emerging AI workflows
  • Establish repeatable operating practices that make adoption practical and measurable

This role requires more than familiarity with AI copilots — we are looking for someone already experimenting with modern growth tooling and operating on the right side of marketing’s ongoing AI transformation.

Own and Optimize the Growth Stack

Partner with Marketing Ops to strengthen the systems powering growth.

You will:

  • Ensure tooling and data support smarter decision-making and scalable execution
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness across the stack

Build Customer Journey and Engagement Programs

Help strengthen how prospects and customers engage with the brand across the funnel.

You will:

  • Build programs that improve progression, conversion, and engagement
  • Support future referral, advocacy, and expansion opportunities
  • Strengthen marketing’s contribution beyond acquisition alone

Drive Experimentation and Performance

Bring a rigorous, data-driven approach to growth.

You will:

  • Build testing and optimization practices that accelerate learning and improve outcomes
  • Adjust channel strategy and investment based on performance and market signals
  • Use experimentation and funnel insight to guide decision-making

Manage and Elevate External Partners

Own external partner strategy and execution across agencies, vendors, and emerging technology or service providers, ensuring accountability, performance, and measurable business impact.

Website + Conversion Optimization

Partner cross-functionally to improve digital conversion performance.

You will:

  • Support CRO, testing, and website performance initiatives
  • Improve user journeys and conversion paths
  • Increase testing velocity and digital effectiveness

What Success Looks Like

First 6 Months

  • Assess and optimize the current growth engine, including acquisition channels, funnel performance, and conversion opportunities across the buyer journey
  • Improve efficiency and measurable performance across core demand generation programs while identifying opportunities to diversify channel mix and reduce dependency concentration
  • Evaluate and implement high-impact AI-enabled tools, workflows, and experimentation practices that improve speed, insight, and marketing effectiveness
  • Build stronger operating alignment across Marketing, Sales, and GTM teams to improve pipeline quality, visibility, and shared accountability for growth outcomes

By 12 Months

  • Establish a more diversified, scalable, and repeatable growth engine capable of supporting Rockbot’s next stage of growth
  • Develop sophisticated engagement and conversion programs that drive stronger customer relationships, retention, and revenue impact.
  • Develop a clearer growth operating system including measurement, attribution, testing frameworks, and decision-making processes that enable smarter investment and more predictable performance over time
  • Help shape long-term growth strategy, balancing near-term pipeline generation with sustainable, efficient, and commercially sound growth across the business

What You Bring

  • 8+ years of experience in growth marketing, demand generation or performance marketing
  • Experience operating in both high-growth startup environments and more mature or scaled organizations
  • Proven ability to drive pipeline and customer acquisition in B2B SaaS, media, advertising technology, marketplace, or subscription-driven environments
  • Deep hands-on experience across:
    • Paid Search
    • Paid Social
    • ABM
    • Nurture
    • SEO / SEM
    • Conversion optimization
    • Performance marketing
  • Strong understanding of marketing attribution, funnel performance, and conversion tracking
  • Experience managing agencies and marketing vendors
  • Demonstrated fluency with modern AI marketing tools and AI-enabled workflows beyond basic copilot usage
  • Ability to evaluate, implement, and optimize AI-powered marketing solutions
  • Strong experimentation mindset and comfort operating through testing and iteration
  • Product-minded growth leader who views growth through the lens of customer experience, adoption, and retention, partnering cross-functionally to drive outcomes beyond traditional marketing channels.
  • Strong communication and executive presence
  • Ability to move fluidly between strategy and execution
  • Comfort operating independently and owning outcomes

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
