Preventive Maintenance Technician (Second Shift)

The Preventive Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide variety of manufacturing equipment to support safe, efficient, and reliable production. This role supports 1st and 2nd shift operations and plays a key role in reducing downtime, improving equipment performance, and supporting current and future production growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on manufacturing, SMT, and support equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues across multiple types of equipment.
  • Respond to production downtime and equipment-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checks and document work in maintenance systems (e.g., Voyager).
  • Support operators and production teams with equipment troubleshooting and adjustments.
  • Repair or replace worn or damaged components such as nozzles, feeders, sensors, motors, fixtures, belts, and actuators etc.
  • Assist with installation, setup, relocation, and commissioning of new or existing equipment.
  • Support production and equipment move related to company growth and expansion.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all safety, ESD, and company policies and procedures.
  • Communicate equipment status, recurring issues, and spare-parts needs to leadership.

 

Equipment Supported

This position will support a broad range of manufacturing equipment, including but not limited to:

  • SMT Equipment (pick-and-place machines, stencil printers, reflow ovens, selective soldering systems)
  • Juki Pick-and-Place Machines
  • Juki GKG Printers
  • JT Juki Reflow Ovens
  • Centurion Reflow Ovens
  • Selective Soldering Equipment (Juki Intertec, and similar systems)
  • Wash machines and other production support equipment
  • Additional automated, semi-automated, and manual manufacturing equipment as required

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in preventive maintenance, manufacturing, or industrial equipment support.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read and understand equipment manuals and maintenance documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team across multiple shifts.
  • Willingness to support overtime or shift changes as needed.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks required in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work around operating machinery.
