
Janitor
About the Role
As a Janitor at Rocket EMS, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and organized electronics manufacturing facility. You’ll perform routine cleaning and sanitation throughout offices, restrooms, break rooms, common areas, and designated production spaces. This role requires reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to follow cleaning procedures that protect our employees, products, and manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities

Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors using approved cleaning products and equipment.

Clean and disinfect restrooms, break rooms, and frequently touched surfaces.

Restock restroom and break room supplies, including soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.

Empty trash and recycling containers and transport waste to designated collection areas.

Clean windows, glass doors, fixtures, furniture, and other assigned surfaces.

Clean designated production areas while following electrostatic discharge (ESD) precautions and contamination-control procedures.

Operate and maintain janitorial equipment, including vacuums and floor scrubbers, as trained and authorized.

Follow cleaning schedules and complete assigned checklists to ensure consistent facility upkeep.

Store, label, and handle cleaning chemicals properly; follow product instructions and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Monitor cleaning supply levels and notify the appropriate supervisor when replenishment is needed.

Report leaks, damaged fixtures, unsafe conditions, and maintenance needs promptly.

Keep entrances, walkways, and common areas clean and free of debris.

Coordinate cleaning activities with production and office personnel to minimize disruption.

Follow all company safety, security, and facility access procedures.
Qualifications
Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience
-
Previous janitorial, custodial, or commercial cleaning experience preferred.

Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial facility is a plus.
Skills

Knowledge of basic cleaning methods, sanitation practices, and safe chemical handling.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, cleaning schedules, and safety procedures.

Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining clean, orderly spaces.

Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and complete assigned tasks.

Dependable attendance and clear communication with coworkers and supervisors.

Willingness to learn ESD precautions and cleaning requirements specific to electronics manufacturing.

Ability to perform essential physical duties, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and moving cleaning supplies and equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Pay Range
$20 - $21 USD
ITAR/EAR Compliance: Due to the nature of the work performed at Rocket EMS, this position may require access to export-controlled technical data or technology. The successful candidate must be eligible to access such information under applicable U.S. export-control laws or be eligible for any required government authorization.
