PEOPLE & CULTURE SENIOR WORKDAY SYSTEMS ANALYST & PROJECT MANAGER
Rocket Lab’s People & Culture department is seeking a highly skilled People & Culture Project Manager & Analyst at our Headquarters in Long Beach, CA to spearhead various projects, manage our HR systems (HRIS & Workday), and deliver analytics to drive data-informed decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional business systems analysis, technical writing, statistical analysis, and project management skills. Ideally, this person will have run Workday module rollouts including Workday People Analytics and have Workday configuration and reporting experience. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our People & Culture initiatives are supported by robust systems and insightful data, ultimately contributing to our organizational success. WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO:
- Administer and optimize HR Information Systems (HRIS) and Workday, ensuring data integrity and system efficiency.
- Collaborate with IT and external vendors to troubleshoot and resolve system issues promptly.
- Conduct regular system audits and maintain accurate records.
- Gather and analyze business requirements for People & Culture projects, translating them into technical specifications.
- Develop SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to streamline People & Culture operations and provide end user training as needed.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend system enhancements.
- Facilitate the development and implementation of new features and functionalities.
- Lead and manage People & Culture projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment and success.
- Prepare project plans, status reports, and documentation.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor key HR metrics, trends, and outcomes.
- Use statistical analysis tools to derive insights from HR data, presenting findings to senior leadership.
- Support data-driven strategies for employee engagement, retention, performance, and other HR initiatives.
- Ensure clear and concise communication of system functionalities and updates to stakeholders.
YOU’LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR systems administration, analytics, or a related role.
- 5+ years of experience with HRIS and Workday systems management.
- 5+ years of project management experience.
- Proficiency in business systems analysis and technical writing.
- Advanced skills in statistical analysis and data visualization tools (e.g., Workday, Excel, Tableau, Power BI).
- Project management abilities specifically managing cross-functional projects.
- Proficiency in report writing and systems configurations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:
- 8+ years of overall related experience
- Experience with Workday module rollouts, including Workday People Analytics and Workday configuration and reporting
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP)
- Workday or other people systems certifications
- Experience in the aerospace or technology sectors
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
- Regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, operate computer keyboard and controls, and communicate verbally and in writing.
- Must be physically able to commute to buildings
- Occasional exposure to dust, fumes and moderate levels of noise.
Level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base Pay Range (CA Only)
$100,000 - $150,000 USD
