FACILITIES

Rocket Lab’s Facilities team is responsible for maintenance, operations, and improvements projects across our locations, making sure that the facilities our teams use every day are well looked after and operating as they should.

PRODUCTION CLEANING TECHNICIAN  

The Production Cleaning Technician is an integral member of the Facilities Team, with a dedicated focus on maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our Headquarters facility. This role requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also collaborating effectively with colleagues as needed. The technician is expected to strictly adhere to company-established cleaning schedules and protocols at all times.  

Collaboration with all production departments is essential to ensure that cleaning activities are carried out efficiently and with minimal disruption to ongoing production operations. The technician must exercise the utmost care and respect when working around sensitive flight hardware and equipment, ensuring that their activities do not introduce any additional risks to the production environment.  

As a Production Cleaning Technician, you will take a hands-on approach to cleaning, maintaining, and enhancing the cleanliness standards of the Long Beach Facilities. Your efforts will directly support the overall production and launch schedule by upholding the highest standards of facility cleanliness and safety.   

YOU"LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS  

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant industry experience preferred  
• Demonstrated ability to consistently meet and maintain high standards of quality and cleanliness  
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills  
• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment  
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow detailed manufacturing instructions and technical drawings  
• Strong work ethic with a proactive approach to taking on additional responsibilities; willingness to work extended hours when necessary  

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS   

• Work in environments with electrical hazards, chemical exposure, temperature variations, and noise  
• Wear required PPE as assigned, which may include safety glasses, gloves, respirators, and/or other protective clothing for extended periods  
• Move between buildings, labs, and work areas, as needed  
• Lift, carry, push and pull materials and equipment up to 25 lbs. unassisted  
• Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and varied shifts as operational needs require   
• Manage cleaning supply inventory 
• Ability to support facilities maintenance team with office moves, furniture assembly/moving, escorting and vendor support when needed.
