About the Role

Rocket Lawyer is seeking an experienced Production Editor who will ensure the smooth and efficient production of video content for the US marketing teams. You are a detail-oriented and creative professional who is passionate about Rocket Lawyer’s mission to make the law affordable and simple. You will work closely with content, design, product, and marketing teams to deliver high-quality video assets that align with our product, brand, and marketing goals. This role is based in Brazil but supports our US business. This role reports into the Director of Content Marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Video Production:
    • Understand and adhere to video production best practices, including lighting, sound, and composition techniques.
    • Collaborate with creative teams to develop and execute video concepts that align with project goals.
    • Ensure that video content is optimized for various platforms, such as social media, websites, email marketing, and in-product placements.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies in video production.
  • Project Management:
    • Oversee the entire video production process from concept to delivery, ensuring that deadlines are met and budgets are adhered to.
    • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Manage project timelines, track progress, and identify potential bottlenecks.
  • Quality Control:
    • Review video content for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.
    • Ensure that all video assets meet technical specifications and are optimized for various platforms.
  • Asset Management:
    • Organize and maintain a library of video assets, including raw footage, final cuts, and supporting materials.
    • Implement efficient asset management systems to ensure easy access and retrieval.
  • Vendor Management:
    • Source and manage relationships with external vendors.
    • Handle contracts and ensure that vendor services align with project requirements and budgets.
  • Technical Knowledge:
      • Stay up-to-date with the latest video production technologies and software.
      • Provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders, including troubleshooting issues and recommending best practices.

Requirements

  • Fluency in verbal and written American English. The role will require 100% communication, written and verbal, in English. A keen understanding of American cultural references, American social media trends, and nuanced written and verbal idioms and slang is a huge plus.
  • At least 5 years of experience in video production, including experience with concept development, writing, editing, production, workflow development, project management, and quality control.
  • Demonstrated experience producing product explainer videos (software B2C preferred; legal, finance, insurance, or banking is a plus).
  • Demonstrated experience producing video for social media (YouTube, Facebook/Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok).
  • Strong understanding of video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills, with a relentlessly positive “get things done” attitude.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and willing to err on the side of “done” rather than “perfect” when speed is required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.  
  • Strong team-player mindset and the ability to work with a wide range of individuals.
  • Experience working with remote teams and cross-cultural environments is a plus.
