
People Operations Generalist
About your role
Rocket Lawyer is seeking an analytical, collaborative, and proactive HR professional to support our team in Brazil. In this role, you’ll lead and manage all HR functions for our Brazil office, playing a key role in the planning and execution of People initiatives.
As part of the People Operations team, you'll contribute to high-impact programs across the full employee lifecycle, including performance management, compensation and benefits, and culture-building efforts. Our team is focused on delivering innovative, high-quality solutions that support our growing workforce.
How you will make a difference day to day
- Partner with local and global leadership to align HR strategies with business goals.
- Collaborate with the global People Operations team on programs such as performance management, employee events, and recruiting (including interview scheduling and candidate coordination).
- Own and manage the full employee lifecycle in Brazil.
- Provide guidance and coaching to employees on HR policies and procedures.
- Promote and support company culture through team-building events and initiatives.
- Administer and support the performance management process, including goal setting, feedback, and training in partnership with People Ops leadership.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Support payroll processing to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Support benefits vendors and carriers to ensure an effective benefits program, recommending improvements as needed based on employee needs and/or market trends, and supporting the evolution of support to meet employee needs.
- Support resolution of workplace issues, including grievances, conflicts, and ethics matters, in coordination with People Ops leadership.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with local labor laws and HR-related government regulations.
What you’ll need
- 10+ years of experience in Human Resources.
- Fluency in both English and Portuguese, written and spoken.
- A collaborative, team-oriented approach with the ability to work independently.
- Strong work ethic and a hands-on, high-energy leadership style.
- Demonstrated ability to work across functions and all levels of an organization.
- In-depth knowledge of local employment laws and HR compliance.
- Experience in managing employee relations and conflict resolution.
- Proven ability to review, improve, and implement HR processes and policies.
- Familiarity with HR information systems—experience with BambooHR and Greenhouse is a plus.

Actual compensation packages are determined by various factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, specific work location, and performance during the interview process.
