Senior Manager, Finance (Rocket Travel by Agoda)

The Opportunity:

Rocket Travel by Agoda (RTA) is the strategic partnerships arm of Agoda, part of Booking Holdings (NASDAQ: BKNG). Rocket Travel by Agoda partners with global brands to bring their customers rewarding and engaging travel experiences that deliver value, maximize rewards, and build customer loyalty for partners’ brands. 

As a Senior Manager Finance business partner, you will partner closely with business leaders from across the company around the globe. They have direct impact on commercial strategy, providing expert advice regarding investment opportunities and highlighting performance concerns.

This role requires a forward-thinking leader who can navigate complexity, influence at the highest levels, and deliver impactful insights to support critical decision-making.

You will oversee the development of robust financial frameworks, provide strategic guidance on investment opportunities, and lead the transformation of financial processes to align with the company’s evolving business needs. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving operational excellence, fostering collaboration, and ensuring the finance function is a key enabler of business success.

This position can encompass financial appraisals, budgeting and forecasting, scenario modelling, monitoring of investment expenditures, cost management and post implementation performance reporting.

You will be at the front line of decision-making and build extensive networks and understanding within the business. This allows for a wide progression scope not only within Finance but also other commercially focused teams.

In this Role, You’ll Get to: 

  • Focus on Agoda’s fast growing B2B business 
  • Drive Process Integration: Lead initiatives to streamline and integrate financial processes across teams, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Partner with Sales Leadership: Partner with sales teams to develop robust business cases, conduct scenario modeling, and provide actionable insights to support deal negotiations and strategic decision-making
  • Shape Commercial Strategy: Collaborate with business leaders to evaluate investment opportunities, assess risks, and develop strategies that align with Agoda’s growth objectives and Rocket Travel’s unique value proposition.
  • Enhance Financial Reporting and Insights: Oversee the development of advanced reporting tools and dashboards, leveraging data analytics to provide real-time insights and drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Monitor and Optimize Performance: Lead Performance Management: Develop and implement a comprehensive performance management framework for Rocket Travel and Agoda’s B2B operations. This includes setting KPIs, conducting regular performance reviews, and providing actionable recommendations to optimize financial and operational outcomes. Act as a key advisor to senior leadership on performance trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Join a High-Performing Team: Work with a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Champion Change Management: Act as a change leader, driving adoption of new tools, processes, and systems to enhance the finance function’s capabilities and support organizational transformation.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • 8+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, or a similar analytically focused role, with a proven track record of partnering with senior stakeholders and driving business impact.
  • Strategic Leadership: Strong strategic thinking and commercial acumen, with the ability to influence and drive alignment across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Process Integration Expertise: Demonstrated experience leading process integration, reorganization, or transformation initiatives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Advanced Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence at all levels, including the C-suite, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong ability to prioritize competing demands and deliver results under pressure.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Experience with SQL or other data analytics tools is a plus.

It’s Great if You Have:

  • Professional finance qualifications (e.g., CFA, ACA, CIMA) or an MBA.
  • Experience in the digital, e-commerce, or online travel industry.
  • Background in statistics, decision sciences, or advanced data analytics.
  • Exposure to ERP systems and financial planning tools.
  • A passion for innovation and a growth mindset.

 

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. In addition to a competitive base salary, roles are eligible to be considered for an annual bonus and RSU package. Potential benefits include a competitive retirement plan, medical/dental plans, and life insurance among others.   

The annual salary range for the local Chicago area is $130,000-$190,000, determined by a candidate's fit and experience.
