Senior Producer, Customer Experience

Rockstar New York is seeking an experienced Senior Producer to help us manage the growth of our online platform. We are looking for people who possess a passion for collaborating with distributed teams to facilitate the progress and completion of projects that service our external and internal customers. This role is an amazing opportunity to contribute to a platform that connects millions of players across the globe with our live gaming experiences, including Grand Theft Auto Online and Red Dead Online. 

This is a full-time, in-office position based out of Rockstar’s NYC headquarters in Downtown Manhattan. 

WHAT WE DO

  • We create connected experiences that are found across our game franchises.
  • We create online services for our games, including matchmaking, cloud saves, player stats, leaderboards, and more.
  • We improve existing features as well as architect new solutions to support the development of the Rockstar Online community and website.
  • We create innovative in-game experiences, including user-generated content.
  • We build services and tools that support our consumer-facing experiences and our internal business needs.
  • We create companion apps for our games, including second screen experiences on mobile, tablet and the web.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take ownership of the Customer Experience department’s project management, increase likelihood of achieving objectives, and direct sprint cycles to achieve long term roadmap objectives.
  • Manage production coordinators across teams to ensure teams are successfully executing their work day-to-day.
  • Work to coordinate roadmaps across operational and tool development teams to enable a better support experience for all Rockstar’s customers.
  • Identify other teams within Rockstar with necessary technical knowledge and responsibilities to cultivate relationships in order to drive a project forward.
  • Identify all groups and teams affected by a project, and involve them – solicit their input on requirements and follow up through execution to confirm requirements are being met.
  • Host regular meetings with the project teams, individuals and business partners to discuss status, resolve issues and share information.
  • Drive consensus on technical decisions to satisfy requirements.
  • Break down large or complex projects into meaningful sub-projects.
  • Ensure a common understanding and agreement on project scope and goals, and on any subsequent changes.
  • Clearly communicate project highlights and overall status with both internal team, executives and a wide array of audiences around the company.
  • Work independently to resolve project risks, gather status, and assign work on your own initiative as well as with other production people.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a producer/project manager/program manager.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a direct manager in a production role.
  • Strong understanding of software development and project management processes and practices.
  • Strong ability to work with people from many teams and disciplines in a positive and collaborative manner.
  • Experience working with distributed teams and facilitating effective virtual and in-person meetings.
  • Familiarity with various development methodologies, including Agile.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel), JIRA, Confluence, and other project tracking and bug database software

SKILLS

  • Excellent organizational & prioritization skills, attention to detail, process knowledge and ability to multi-task.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively across product, development, and management teams.
  • Priority management with the ability to triage tasks and control a project schedule.
  • Ability to guide stakeholders, project leads, and department heads positively throughout a project lifecycle.

PLUSES

  • Certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, CSPO.
  • Experience in the games industry preferred.
  • History of managing large, distributed projects across multi-disciplinary teams

The pay range for this position in New York State (inclusive of New York City) at the start of employment is expected to be between the range below* per year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

$101,100 - $141,600 USD
