Rockstar India is on the lookout for talented Development Support applicants, who possess a passion for game audio.

This is a full-time, in-office position based in Rockstar’s large game development studio in Bangalore, India.

WHAT WE DO

• The award-winning Rockstar audio team combines all audio disciplines, designing and implementing the sound, music, and dialogue technology as well as content for our games.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Incorporate audio cues into animations in accordance with sound design specifications; collaborate with sound designers to request further cues as necessary.
• Implement dialogue and sound effects into the game and diagnose and correct audio/visual synchronization issues in scenes.
• Mark up specific features in the game world, such as shorelines, to enhance the richness of the audio ambiance.
• Choose, allocate, and adjust appropriate audio components from our asset library for in-game objects.
• Conduct daily validation and quality assurance for modifications in audio content, ensuring their integration into the game.
• Provide daily and/or weekly status updates.
• Perform Quality assurance for new audio tools, in-game functionality and content.
• Collaborate with colleagues at other R* studios as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Sound Engineering, Audio Production, or other relevant discipline, or equivalent experience.

SKILLS

• Proficient in audio software like Reaper or Pro Tools for sound and dialogue production, with a comprehensive understanding of digital audio principles and file formats.
• Keen interest in developing expertise in our proprietary audio tools (training will be provided).
• Passion for game audio and Rockstar’s game library.
• Approaches tasks with meticulous attention to detail, showcasing loyalty and a robust work ethic.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

PLUSES

Please note that these are desirable skills and are not required to apply for the position.

• Experience implementing audio in games using tools such as Wwise, UE Meta Sounds, FMOD or similar.
• In-depth understanding of how audio is used in creative mediums (Games/ TV/ Film).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
• Understanding of audio signal routing in DAWs, modular synths etc.
• Familiarity with programming or scripting language.
• Strong numeracy skills.
