Workplace Health and Safety Coordinator

Rockstar is on the lookout for talented Workplace Health and Safety Coordinator. As part of the Workplace Services Team, reporting to the Regional Health, Safety and Compliance Manager, you will provide key coordination of the day-to-day health, safety and compliance operations across our studios.

This is a full-time, permanent and in-office position based in Rockstar’s state-of-the-art game development studio in Edinburgh, Scotland. 

WHAT WE DO

  • The Rockstar Workplace Services Team (WPS) is responsible for ensuring the workplace, building, programs, and services work harmoniously together to support the core business.
  • We create a creative, supportive, and safe working environment for the staff at Rockstar.
  • We manage and develop a variety of services and programs, including hospitality, building maintenance, security, space utilization and operational support.
  • We ensure the site complies with all relevant statutory guidance and legislation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the co-ordinated delivery of Workplace Health, Safety and Compliance across our sites.
  • Support the development and delivery of health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Oversee risk assessment processes, supporting and completing risk assessments where required and communicating control measures to those at risk.
  • Working with stakeholders to support the delivery of health and safety training programmes.
  • Report and investigate all accidents and incidents, determining root cause.
  • Support the delivery of our emergency response programme across our sites.
  • Support the maintenance of compliance records.
  • Stay up to date with relevant health and safety regulations and ensure company compliance.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent vocational education and experience.
  • 2+ years experience in a Health and Safety position.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate.
  • Competency and experience undertaking risk assessments.
  • Experience carrying out audits and producing reports.
  • Demonstratable knowledge of current health and safety regulations and industry best practice.
  • Experience partnering with different teams and support functions.
  • Experience in developing relationships with external contractors.

PLUSES

Please note that these are desirable skills and are not required to apply for the position.

  • Membership of IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health)/IFMA (International Facilities Management Association) or equivalent.
  • First Aid training.
  • Fire Marshal training.
  • Experience in incident investigation and emergency preparedness.
  • Experience using ServiceNow, Monday.com.
  • Previous experience within similarly creative industries – video games, film, television, music.
