Digital Marketing Manager

Digital Marketing Manager

Rocksteady Music School is going through an exciting time of growth. We’re already the largest employer of full-time musicians in the UK, but we’ve got big plans and need a strong team based in our office in Hampshire to help drive these.

The role does require you to be office based, but trust us, we all love working here and so will you. Not only are the people lovely (with great taste in music) but the office and grounds are beautiful. Park in an apple orchard, have meetings sitting by our lake or take a walk in the Hampshire countryside over lunch. Beats the London rush any day.

A bit about the role

To help us hit our ambitious growth goals, we’re on a mission. That’s why we’re seeking a talented digital manager (or perhaps a digital executive looking for their next challenge) to join our growing marketing team to support Rocksteady’s digital strategy.

In this role you will be working closely with the Head of Marketing Growth and be responsible for designing, building and optimising everything from paid advertising campaigns to website content – all with an aim of bringing the joy of live music and playing in a band to thousands of children across the UK.

Main responsibilities:

  • Build, optimise and monitor paid advertising campaigns across Meta, Google, LinkedIn and other digital platforms to support brand awareness, lead generation and recruitment
  • Monitor key digital metrics/data across various platforms (organic/paid social, other paid ads, organic channels such as GMB, and SEO)
  • Review and make recommendations for content to enhance our online presence
  • Build reports and dashboards to facilitate analysis of digital marketing activity
  • Support with SEO efforts to improve organic visibility of our website
  • Help to mastermind strategic content changes via the website CMS as required, including creating campaign landing pages
  • Collaborate on organic social content planning and ideas
  • Monitor the digital marketing space for trends, competitor analysis and insights
  • Support the HoM with budget tracking
  • Ensure tracking is utilised across all marketing activity

About you

  • You’re passionate about analysis and optimisation – we are looking for someone who is curious and always looking at ways to do things better.
  • Data is your thing – our decisions need to be grounded in data, and you’ll be at the heart of this. We need the successful applicant to be confident in identifying trends, spotting issues and optimising systems and processes.
  • You’ve got an open mind and agile nature – we don’t expect to get things right all the time, so our new team member needs to approach changes of direction with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • You believe in what we do – while you may not be directly teaching music to children, what we do in the marketing department is key to ensuring we succeed in our mission and so it’s very important you care as much as we do about the children we work with.

 Experience & Expertise

  • Good level of experience in a digital or campaign marketing role
  • Basic best practice SEO knowledge
  • Confident in digital campaign building, monitoring and optimising
  • An eye for campaign tracking and data analysis
  • Data confident with good excel skills

Martech experience

  • Reporting platforms such as Looker Studio and Hotjar
  • Website CMS (WordPress a bonus)
  • Paid ad platforms – Meta, Google, LinkedIn etc.
  • Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager
  • CRM experience desirable

NB: Even if you don’t think you tick all the boxes, if the job interests you and you like what we do, please send over your CV and introduce yourself. We firmly believe a diversity of perspectives and experiences makes a team stronger — and the stronger our team, the closer we are to bringing the joy of music to thousands more children around the UK.
