Role: HR Advisor
Salary: Salary up to £36,000 + £1,500 company bonus
Location: This role is based at our beautiful Central Support Office in Liphook
We have an exciting opportunity to join the People team at the world’s largest Rock School and help change children’s lives for the better. Rocksteady Music School have been delivering inspiring music lessons for over a decade, sending passionate musicians into schools to teach primary school children how to perform music in a band.
We are looking for an experienced People Advisor to join our friendly team here at Rocksteady, a company with real purpose. You will have the opportunity to work in an exciting and varied role, playing an important part in striving to deliver a first class service for our people. The ideal candidate will have strong generalist HR experience with sound experience in employee relations and will thrive in a fast paced environment where no two days are the same. This is a full-time (35 hours) office based role at our stunning central support location in Liphook where alongside the existing team of friendly HR colleagues, you will find a hive of activity alongside other focused and dedicated support teams in the office, supporting our incredible, growing team of teaching staff across the UK. It’s fun and rewarding to work here and definitely worth leaving the house for!
The Role
· Be the first point of contact for managers for general people queries and advice across the entire employee lifecycle
· Support managers and be the HR lead on routine and complex employee relations matters including disciplinary and grievance meetings, sickness, occupational health referrals and performance management
· Build relationships with managers at all levels and develop a good understanding of the business to help identify issues and trends
· Support with the development and review of existing and new policies in line with legislation, best practice and business objectives
· Support with reporting and analysis of key people metrics e.g. staff attrition, sickness
· Assist with the preparation and delivery of training sessions to managers and staff where required
· Support the People Administrator with administration activities such as processing changes to employment contracts, flexible working requests, family friendly leave etc
· Assist with recruitment and on-boarding activities
· Support the People Team with wider initiatives and projects
Skills and Experience:
· Previous demonstrable experience working in a Generalist HR role. A minimum of CIPD Level 5 qualification would be preferable
· Experience of advising and managing HR casework (including complex cases) across a range of topics including employee relations and proven expertise in key processes throughout the employment lifecycle
· Previous knowledge and experience of using HR systems and producing key HR metrics would be preferred
· Highly organised and comfortable prioritising own workload in a busy environment to achieve key goals
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trusted working relationships with a range of stakeholders at all levels
· A strong growth mindset with resilience and creativity
· Excellent administration and MS office skills
· Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
