Accounts Assistant

Liphook, Hampshire

Full time – Salary Dependent on Experience and Qualifications up to £33,000 + £1,500 company bonus

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a competent accounts assistant to join our dynamic finance team based at our HQ in Liphook.

Reporting to the Senior accountant, you will be a highly organised individual with the ability to follow procedure, able to multitask in a busy environment and be an excellent communicator with strong computer literacy and Excel capabilities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Prepare accurate and timely management accounts, and variance analysis to budget and forecasts.
  • Manage Asset management system and ensure ongoing compliance with audit regulations
  • Managing customer direct debits and billing process
  • Support with production of monthly payroll
  • Process expenses for all employees
  • Processing supplier invoices with accuracy in a timely manner
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Credit control ensuring schools and parents pay on a timely basis

 

Skills and experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-growing environment
  • Accountancy qualification or working towards such as AAT/ACCA/CIMA
  • Good IT Proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Word,)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to keep track of a workload
  • Comfortable working in periodic cycles
  • Ability to spot areas for process improvement
  • Experience with Xero would be an advantage
  • Experience with direct debit management would be an advantage
