Position Summary:

We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic payroll professional to support Roivant’s US/Global payroll operations. You will be responsible for processing multistate payrolls in an accurate and timely manner. You will have a solid understanding of payroll related matters, including tax, state allocations, compliance, benefits, and equity reporting.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to support the U.S. payroll operations for Roivant and its subsidiaries. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing multistate payrolls, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. An ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of payroll practices, including tax withholding, state allocations, compliance, benefits, and equity reporting. The role requires someone who is highly organized, driven, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment, while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and processing of semi-monthly domestic multistate payrolls for Roivant and its subsidiaries, ensuring accurate calculation of wages, deductions and other payroll components
  • Preparation and processing of monthly global payrolls for United Kingdom and Switzerland
  • Preparation and processing of off-cycle payrolls including reporting of equity transactions
  • Audit payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies, SOX and international, federal, state and local regulations
  • Calculate and accurately reflect in payroll state and local allocations for business travel
  • Tracking new hires, terminations, and transfers from/to Roivant as well as terminations among subsidiary companies
  • Assist in preparing and filing payroll tax reports and related payments
  • Assist in preparing payroll reconciliations, including W-2 reviews and other payroll quarter/year-end items
  • Collaborate with Accounting Team to provide payroll reports and reconciliations of payroll to the general ledger
  • Provide excellent customer service to employees with questions related to theirpayroll
  • Continuously review payroll processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy
  • Special projects as needed

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Associate degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Knowledge of Federal, State and Local taxation
  • Understanding of payroll concepts, best practices and processes
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification preferred
  • Benefits experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Highly motivated and willing to take on multiple responsibilities at once
  • Highly innovative problem solver possessing strong interpersonal, multi-tasking, organizational, project planning skills, and a demonstrated ability to meet aggressive deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to deal with complex problems and present recommendations and findings in a clear, concise format
  • Quick and scrappy learner who adapts well to a fast-moving environment and gets things done, combines creativity, problem-solving skills, and a can-do attitude to overcome any obstacle

Base salary for this role will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market conditions. The expected base salary for the role will generally be between $125,000 - $140,000 per year at the commencement of employment, but the final salary offered may be outside this range based on individual circumstances and business and market conditions.

Base salary if hired is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include other components such as discretionary bonuses, equity, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.

This position is at-will and Roivant reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance and business and market conditions.
