Position Summary:

We are seeking an exceptional associate to join the Roivant Sciences strategic finance team. Roivant has raised billions of dollars of capital to support the hockey stickshaped growth of our business. The strategic finance team is involved in all aspects of financing and major corporate transactions, influencing long-term business strategy in partnership with leaders across the organization. Candidates for this role drive all aspects of financing strategy, transaction execution, and capital allocation decisions. This role offers visibility into all aspects of our rapidly growing business, significant exposure to CEO, CFO, and other senior management, and the opportunity to define new strategic finance initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Capital allocation

  • Determine KPIs and key financial metrics and own the master model to inform prioritization decisions among existing Vants, new opportunities, and capital return
  • Build deep content knowledge of the financial profile and return potential for various parts of Roivant’s portfolio
  • Identify opportunities to improve Roivant’s capital allocation frameworks and forecasting/modeling processes and turn those into reality

Investor relations

  • Build relationships with sell-side analysts and their teams, and serve as a primary resource to help them build their models of Roivant
  • Understand the differences between Street consensus, individual analyst models, and our internal estimates, and generate messaging accordingly

Financing strategy and transactions

  • Generate ideas for and evaluate potential financing opportunities across the capital structure at Roivant and its subsidiaries
  • Lead analysis to determine Roivant’s financing strategy in close partnership with senior management
  • Execute financing transactions, including preparing presentations and models for potential investors; meeting with potential investors; supporting negotiations; and coordinating underwriter and investor diligence of Roivant
  • Analyze and execute other types of potential transactions, such as liability management and capital return
  • Lead other capital markets-focused analysis and transactions

Skills, Qualifications, and Requirements

  • Current analyst / associate in investment banking, equity research or capital markets at a top-tier investment bank, with a preference for healthcare / life sciences vertical (similar experience considered)
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of professional work experience
  • Best-in-class financial modeling and Excel skills
  • Bachelor’s degree with a strong undergraduate academic record
  • Strong analytical thinking with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to synthesize material for board level or C-suite communications
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information
  • Excellent planning, organization and time management skills including the ability to support and prioritize multiple projects

Base salary for this role will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market conditions. The expected base salary for the role will generally be between $135,000 - $150,000 per year at the commencement of employment, but the final salary offered may be outside this range based on individual circumstances and business and market conditions.

Base salary if hired is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include other components such as discretionary bonuses, equity, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. 

This position is at-will and Roivant reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance and business and market conditions.
