About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Data Implementation & Integration Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing data import services to our clients, ensuring the accurate and efficient migration of their data into our platform.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data management, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills to assist clients throughout the import process.
What You’ll Do
- Data Migration: Import and migrate client data from various sources into our platform with accuracy and efficiency.
- Data Validation: Ensure the integrity, structure, and quality of the data before, during, and after the import process, identifying and resolving inconsistencies or errors.
- Respond to and resolve API requests and/or escalations, providing expert troubleshooting assistance (commonly using tools like Postman).
- Offer best-practice guidance to customers on effective API usage.
- Collaborate with the product team to address and resolve API-related challenges.
- Monitor and stay updated on API schema
- Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients to understand their data requirements, formats, and mappings, providing guidance and best practices for a smooth data transition.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of import processes, data mapping, transformation rules, and troubleshooting steps for each project.
- Data Transformation: Apply data transformation techniques in Excel as necessary, including formatting, cleaning, and restructuring.
- Tool Utilization: Use relevant tools and scripts to automate and streamline data import processes where applicable.
- Support & Training: Provide ongoing support to clients post-import, assisting with any issues that arise and educating them on data import/export functionalities of the platform.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvements and propose solutions to enhance the data import process for both the company and clients.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 1+ years of experience in data migration, data import services, or data management, preferably within a SaaS environment.
- Proficiency with data import/export tools, Excel, and familiarity with APIs.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Experience with data cleaning, transformation, and validation techniques.
- Ability to communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL) is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills, able to manage multiple data import projects simultaneously.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues quickly and effectively.
- A resident of Edinburgh or Glasgow Scotland.
