About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive IT Manager to oversee our global IT operations, leading a distributed team of IT Officers and supporting our offices worldwide. Based in Melbourne, this role will be integral in ensuring efficient IT service delivery, managing our ICT systems, and overseeing smooth onboarding and technical support for all employees. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, a commitment to exceptional service, and proven experience in managing global teams.
Please note this role is based in our South Melbourne office and offers the best of both worlds - flexibility and the chance to experience our vibrant office culture 3-4 days a week.
What You'll Do
- Global IT Operations Management:
- Oversee daily IT operations across all company locations, ensuring high service standards.
- Manage and lead a global team of IT Officers, fostering collaboration and professional development.
- Develop, implement, and monitor IT policies, procedures, and best practices globally.
- Technical Support and Service Delivery:
- Serve as an escalation point for IT Officers, addressing complex technical issues promptly.
- Ensure high availability of IT services, including network, infrastructure, and applications, to support business continuity.
- Lead initiatives to streamline and optimise IT support, reducing response times and improving user satisfaction.
- Onboarding and Offboarding:
- Oversee the IT onboarding offboarding process for employees, ensuring access, equipment setup, and training are consistently delivered.
- Manage offboarding processes, ensuring all IT-related tasks are completed in a timely and secure manner.
- Collaborate with P&C and department heads to ensure seamless onboarding and offboarding experiences.
- Infrastructure and Systems Management:
- Monitor and maintain hardware and software inventory, overseeing purchasing and asset management.
- Implement and manage security protocols to protect company data and prevent unauthorised access.
- Strategic Planning and Project Management:
- Develop and execute IT projects, including system upgrades, rollouts, and office expansions.
- Work with stakeholders to align IT initiatives with business goals, providing recommendations for new technology solutions.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with minimal disruption to operations.
About You
- Minimum of 5 years of IT management experience, including experience managing global teams.
- Strong technical skills in network management, cloud services, and system administration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work well under pressure.
- Strong leadership qualities, with a focus on team empowerment and professional development.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to continuous improvement and exceptional service.
- Adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, global environment.
