About the Role
As People Operations Generalist at Roo, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the operational foundation of our people programs. You'll ensure smooth delivery of core HR services while creating scalable processes that support our growing organization.
Your Responsibilities
HR Operations & Systems
- Manage HRIS and related HR technology platforms
- Develop and maintain HR dashboards and regular reporting
- Create and document HR processes and procedures
- Oversee employee lifecycle processes from onboarding to off-boarding, prioritizing Employee Experience and Core Values throughout
- Maintain personnel files and HR documentation
- Manage HR vendor relationships and contracts
- Generate HR documentation (offer letters, verification letters, etc.)
- Assist with HR budget tracking and management
Benefits & Compensation Administration
- Manage benefits administration and annual enrollment processes
- Support compensation program administration
- Process payroll and handle related inquiries
- Maintain job architecture and compensation structures
- Generate total rewards statements and communications
Compliance & Policy Management
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws
- Maintain and update employee handbook and HR policies
- Manage leave administration and accommodations
- Track required trainings and certifications
- Maintain HR compliance calendar and documentation
Employee Experience & Culture
- Own employee engagement initiatives and programs, with a focus on Core Values & Inclusion
- Manage recognition programs and culture-building activities
- Support DEI programs and initiatives
- Plan and execute company meetings, events and celebrations
- Maintain internal communication channels for HR updates
About You
- 3-5 years of HR experience with focus on operations and administration
- Strong knowledge of HR systems and technology
- Experience with benefits administration and payroll processes
- Understanding of HR compliance requirements and best practices
- Excellent organizational and process management skills
- Experience with HR analytics and reporting
- Knowledge of HRIS systems and ATS platforms
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Experience in startup or high-growth environments preferred
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
California pay range
$105,000 - $125,000 USD
New York pay range
$105,000 - $125,000 USD
Washington pay range
$95,000 - $110,000 USD
Colorado pay range
$90,000 - $105,000 USD
Texas pay range
$90,000 - $105,000 USD
North Carolina pay range
$85,000 - $100,000 USD
