Recruiter (Contract Postion)
About the Role
As a Recruiter at Roo, you will play a vital role in supporting our hiring goals as we continue to grow. You will work closely with the Full Cycle Recruiter and hiring managers to help identify and attract top talent for various roles. Your contributions will ensure a smooth and positive experience for candidates throughout their journey with us. This position reports to the Full Cycle Recruiter and is primarily remote, with a hybrid option for Bay Area-based employees. We are looking to hire this person on a contract basis to begin with.
Your Responsibilities
- Sourcing and outreach: Help identify potential candidates through proactive research and sourcing, using various tools, and creating compelling outreach messages and email campaigns to grab the attention of prospective passive candidates.
- Screen applications: Manage applicants and review resumes for key criteria, shortlisting qualified candidates for review from the hiring manager.
- Schedule interviews: Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers, working to keep the process moving quickly and efficiently.
- Initial screening: Conduct initial screening calls looking to assess high level experience and minimum requirements for the role, along with alignment to company values and bar raising competencies.
- Communicate with candidates: Maintain a positive candidate experience through regular communication with candidates to provide updates and answer questions in a timely manner.
- Greenhouse management: Posting / closing jobs, keeping our applicant tracking system up to date ensuring good hygiene on all open and closed requisitions.
- References: Manage the reference process, submitting requests for referral details and adding references to candidate profiles.
- Offer management: Support the hiring managers with the offer process, maintaining close contact with candidates to achieve a high offer acceptance rate.
About you
- 3 years experience in recruitment, specifically sourcing and outreach with successful outcomes.
- Exposure to recruiting in a competitive landscape, startup experience preferred.
- Technical recruitment experience is considered a plus.
- Knowledge of recruitment metrics and the impact these have on company performance.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to sell opportunities through cold outreach.
- Experience using a variety of channels to reach candidates, with an innovative approach to trying new things and bring fresh ideas to the table.
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Greenhouse is a plus.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

$45 - $55 USD
Colorado pay range
$40 - $50 USD
Texas pay range
$40 - $50 USD

$35 - $45 USD
