In 2022, we closed on our Series E, raising $240 million, and have offices in California, Texas, and New York as well as many remote opportunities. Our growth includes recent acquisitions of Stessa (financial and asset management software), RentPrep (tenant screening and placement service for landlords), and Mynd (property management platform for both Retail and Institutional investors).
About the Role:
As a Renewal Specialist, you will play a vital role in our leasing team, focusing on renewing leases for our residents. Your primary objective will be to enhance resident retention through effective communication and relationship-building, ensuring a seamless renewal process that benefits both residents and property owners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lease Renewals: Proactively manage lease expiration dates and initiate renewal discussions with residents to encourage timely lease renewals.
- Resident Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for residents regarding renewal inquiries, addressing concerns and providing information about lease terms and property updates.
- Negotiation: Work with residents to negotiate lease terms, rental rates, and any necessary adjustments, maintaining a balance between resident satisfaction and owner profitability.
- Documentation: Prepare and process renewal agreements and ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately and efficiently.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate records of renewal status, resident communications, and feedback in property management software.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the leasing team, maintenance staff, and property managers to ensure a smooth transition during the renewal process and address any resident issues promptly.
- Market Analysis: Stay informed about local rental market trends and provide insights to management to assist in pricing strategies and lease agreements.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in property management or real estate
- Licensed Real Estate Agent
- Ability to prioritize and take initiative
- Excellent customer service skills
- Phenomenal communication skills, both written and verbal
- High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Tech-savvy with the ability to use Google Suite
Location:
This position is classified as REMOTE within the US.
Travel required:
This position will require some travel within the market.
Compensation:
$40,000-$45,000 base salary with a tiered commission plan based on leases executed
Our compensation reflects several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position represents the expected salary for this position. Ultimately, in determining your pay it will be based on several factors including location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience and other job related factors. Roofstock is a total compensation company; the base salary is only part of our total compensation package.
